Hey Mike, it's pretty basic. You can purchase it for 20-$30 from wal-mart or someplace like that, then pay only $20 per year. It's 3 easy steps to set it up that's explained on the back of the package. Set up your account, then record your vm and your done. Post the number on your marketing tools as your 24hr VM and never answer that phone. It's sole purpose is for leads to call who "might" not want to talk to you directly at first for whatever reason. And as Dean said, it will save you time from having to pre-qualify someone, that what your voice message will do. Did that help?

Doesn't this plug directly into your computer and work off of your internet connection? And then you plug your telephone into that? So, if you don't have like cable internet or DSL then it's not gonna work for ya. I'm not familiar with it but I think that is the way it works. But it is an awesome idea to use it and set a voice mail line up. Thanks for sharing this info with us.

Not a problem. If you don't have your 800# blow the dust off and see what you can do. It's working well for me because it pre-qualifies ppl and allows them the comfort of not having to talk to you at first. Please enjoy-

How long of a voice message can you record on the magic jack.
I was just getting started with My 800 number and I know my message are couple minutes long. Also the other drawback to this method and correct me if I'm wrong you only get one message per telephone line (magic jack).

I bought MJ for the same reasons but I have changed phones about 7 times. The stores sell mostly wireless phones which arent the best for MJ so I converted to the regular wired phone and still theres issues..WHICH PHONE SYSTEM are you utilizing, can the other person hear you clearly & can you record yr. messages clearly?. ALSO..Its been experience that it doesnt record very long at all, cuts me off:)...Or have you experienced something differant, if so am I doing something wrong??

I went and googled MJ, I read a scam report that a guy really downed MJ. But there was a lot of people that really liked it. And I mean a lot. I know since I have read it I am more motivated to get one. I had planned to get one today but the closest radio shack was closed due to last night's storm that hit us. So maybe tomorrow I will have mine. I know it costs $39.95 for it I just wonder is there an additional charge for the phone service or is it included in the price when you purchase it.

I know most people would say get an #800 but the truth is that unless you have strong marketing campaign when you start, you don't need it. The important thing is to get out there and take action. Just have a good voicemail message on your cell to make sure you sound professional. My mentor uses his cell phone # for business and he does quiet well.

Hey there, the only issue I had with it WAS the quality, but I don't use it to talk, only to collect leads. You can call your issued number from a cell phone and press star as soon as the pre-loaded message comes on. That will enable you to set up your own message. As far as fee's...there are none. You buy it and pay around $20 per. That's it!!! If you have ANY other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Enjoy!

I plan to use this method once I am in my own house again, since I am staying with relatives at the moment. But, I will probably just use my cell, and have a great voice mail message instead for now. Thanks for the advice!
