Hello All DG Members,

I am very excited to be starting my journal today, 05-14-2009. It was only a few weeks ago, my wife and I got extremely motivated attending Dean's live event in Phoenix. I am still motivated beyond belief, weeks later. We have met so many wonderul investors at Dean's Live Gain the Edge Event and on the DG website. I want to thank eveyone for their positive comments and support. I look forward to learning and hearing about everyone's insight and deals and we look forward to sharing our daily journal of activities, as well. Have a great day! Believe and Achieve! Smiling

Congrats on getting your Realtors license. That is great. Disney World is fun and Celebration is a nice community but California is also a great place to be. NEVER BACK DOWN! Ignore the Real Estate Bullies!

NEVER BACK DOWN! I like the world where it is people helping people. I like positive and like-minded people not negative people. Some people are so negative with their lives due to work or marriage, etc. They feel a release when they can go on the internet and attack other people. These people can do it hiding behind the computer because they are too much of a little person to speak up in the real world.

As you begin your real estate journey even through your 100th deal you will encounter negative people. Sometime these negative people do not like hearing about positive things such as deals completed, etc. Never forget that freedom of speech is still a right in this country! We can say what we want in this country. We can succeed in real estate and still care enough to help others along the way.

Unfortunately in the world there are Bullies everywhere you go. From the play grounds that are children are on to Websites we visit on the internet. The sad fact of reality is some of these Bullies are Bullies because they so crave the attention.

When new people enter into a circle, like at a real estate auction, the negative investors criticize them. They attach, criticize and try to belittle because they do not want to lose the limelight. They do not want others listening to you, the new guy, because they have been here for the past zillion years!!! I would like to say - - - BIG HOOVER DAM DEAL!

Does being part of a club, website, auction process, etc. for a long time make you an expert? Does being a bully make you an expert? Does being negative and attacking make you an expert? NO! It is so sad that some of these bullies are out there.

If you encounter Real Estate Bullies, never back down! NEVER EVER let anyone put you down. SPEAK UP when you are being smothered by the good old boy experts. Speak up when you know the right thing to do. SPEAK up when you see bullies ganging up on others to benefit for themselves. If you speak up loud enough, the Real Estate Investing World will hear You!!!! Never let these bullies in life control you in the world of real estate. Go make it a great day! Believe and Achieve! Thanks but that's hard right now via we just got back and tired from a trip north to help burry my uncle... whom died of a heart attack there wednsday morn...

Your Daily Real Estate Work Out Routine

Do you have a daily routine? When the alarm goes off and you need to drive to work, do you always go the same way? How is your daily grind? Do you often think I would do anything to get out of this grind and be a full time real estate investor? Are you willing to do what it takes? Are you ready to commit to work at it? If so, they a daily routine can help you focus on what is important things you could be doing each day to build your real estate business.

Do you have a Daily Real Estate Work Out Routine? Do you? An actual routine that you do each and everyday for your real estate. If you do not, its time to plan one out. What tasks are important to you and what should you be doing? It probably depends on your real estate strategy. I would have a few ideas for you. I always believe continuing your education is important and I would encourage everyone to devote 1 to 2 hours per week and devote that time to your education. You can read books, listen to CDs or tapes. You can even watch DVDs or videos. Build your education each and every week.

Then have action steps such as spending a hour a day on Craigslist. That hour can be spent posting an ad and responding to ads that are posted. Just think after 30 days you would have posted 30 ads. Then you can go back and relist ads or change them up a little and then repost the ad. Are you responding to ads on Craigslist. Do you look for other wholesalers? Do you check the FSBO section for any bargains. What about places for Rent? Do you contact landlords to see if they have anything for sale? Its all about a routine and 1 hour a day on Craigslist is time well spent.

Do you attend open houses on the weekend? You should go to at least 2 open houses. You can meet new realtors and find out more information on an area. Are you going to garage sales on weekends? How about at least 2 garage sales and ask if they know of anyone selling a house in the area. Talk to garage sale people including neighbors. Unlisted properties are the best type of deals out there.

If you spend some time on your daily real estate routine you will see results. Each day is an opportunity to get things done. Remember no one is going to do your work for you. It is up to you to stay on track and establish that REI Routine. Each day in the evening think about what you did during the day and ask yourself did you do at least one thing that helped your real estate business? If you do, you are moving forward. Keep it going! Moving on

I have looked to the DG family for encouragement and motivation and I did get to see Joe present once but at this point I have not been as successful as I had hoped with real estate investing. This is not an indictment or condemnation of Dean's education or processes whatsoever. In fact, I am grateful for what I have learned. I have recognized I am a person that needs more structure for whatever reason and am going to move in a different direction.
Fortunately my daughter is not that way so I will get to keep my hands in things by continuing to help her build her rental portfolio. She is looking to add cash flow to her family income without having to work a set schedule and to build equity for retirement. I'm glad I was able to introduce her to real estate and the training we found through Dean and all of his associates.
Wish me luck as I move on. I will need to keep the high energy and positive frame of mind that is so pervasive throughout all that that Dean touches. Best wishes to all.
