i am so happy for you! you are gonna have a great summer.

Thank you Linda, I feel it is going to be a great summer. We will be in the house and getting settled. I have never looked forward to a move so much as I am this time. I love the house and can not wait to be there all the time.

Today I cleaned up the kitchen from the mess we made fixing the drywall patches. prepare the walls for painting tomorrow. I found a very fleshy/peachy color in the opps paints so I got it for my Kitchen $7.00 for Dutch Boy paint.My hubby said lets try it, we can accessorize it to tone it down if we have to.

Then I got a surprise Mandy and Perry came back over. Perry worked on sanding the living room trim where I couldn't get. He used the new dremel and ran out of sanding pads about the time we were leaving to come home so I'll have to pick them up tomorrow. Becky's room has been cleaned up and swept, so I can shampoo the carpets tomorrow. My do to list is adding up again but it is going to be over soon. I have 3 weeks to finish and move all fragile items the girls and I prefer to move ourselves.

But the most important thing I must finish tomorrow is the painting of the kitchen then my stove can get put in place and I can cook on a real stove again not just a toaster oven. I didn't mind not having a stove when we were in the trailer, the toaster oven and electric skillet works great. But the site of my stove in the corner has sparked my intrest to make a big lasanga or wings. big pot of chili, things I just couldn't do with ease here.

Once Becky's room and the hallway are shampooed the upstairs will be done!!!! so that is my master plan for tomorrow, Paint , shampoo, clean.
I might be able to get my kitchen organized this weekend. All the oversided pots and pans are at the house. All the gadets like the blender, chopper and juicer are already out there in my office at the moment.

Life is good and getting better everyday!

you are really progressing! you will be half done with the upstairs taken care of. i may have to stop by for dinner if you are gonna be cooking! i keep trying to get out of it myself. tonight i am cooking, but i got to eat out yesterday. you are awesome!

Linda , Thank you for stopping by, I have been so busy with the house and kids. Jamie is done with classes but is now in Senior project which is an internship to get world experience. Luckily she is working near the house and I am still able to work out there.

The upstairs is done, the kitchen is done, all bedrooms are done, the trim is done as it is getting for now. Dining room is painted and all I have left to work on is the living room and the apartment but the apartment will have to wait. we have run into so issuse with the insurance company.

But I got to cook last night on my new stove in my new house, wow was it great. Can't wait to move in. today will be a no progress day. Have to run mom to doctors, tomorrow we take my niece down central ohio for a college visit and registration day. Jamie wants to check it out too.

We have been packing and moving boxes as we go now, so we are getting there.
But my husbands family moved up our time frame because they are coming for a visit the weekend we were going to be moving furniture so Dan wants to see if we can get it done the weekend before they arrive. I know we can do it with me only having one more room to paint and Becky's bed to make this weekend.

We will be moving the cable and internet and phone out to the house soon so I may miss a few more days while we wait to get it transfered.

I have moved all the trim to the garage to work on it later, finished painting and cleaning the upstairs. Only have the living room to finish this week and make Becky's bed. She still has a few more weeks of school before she can come out, but the rest of us may be moving in out at the house and Becky maybe staying with her aunt until school is out in 3 weeks or maybe I'll bring her into school and pack up the van each morning, That is probably the way it will work. 2 more carpets to clean and the dog can come home.
Maybe the kids will stay out of the driveway when we get there full time.
I just can't believe we are this close to being done.

I told Dan I was going to sleep the whole first week of June and not to wake me for anything. hehehe...

i don't blame you for wanting to sleep a week. you have really been busy. glad to hear that things are going well and you are so close to being done. that is really awesome! enjoy!

Good work! Keep it up! I went out and bought a dremel because you raved about it so; we need to do some woodwork and finishing on our cabin, and its been so handy! Thank you!

I sure hope you like it as well as I do. My hubby doesn't like it because he is so used to being forceful so he burnt up one blade before I convienced him he needed to let the tool do the work for you.

i'm so glad you are back. i figured it was "house stuff", but i was a little concerned too. how does it feel being moved in? can't wait to "hear" the details.

I have finished working on the house. Finally got it all cleaned up. And Boxes,bags and furniture is coming in daily. On Mother's Day I got the best present ever. My girlfriend came over helped us pack up our trailer and bring our beds and boxes to the house. It was nice to bring all three vehicles full. We made several trips over the weekend and the rest of this week and have made good progress. The girls and I have brought over everything that we can move ourselves. Dan and the guys are going to bring the heavy furniture this weekend. Now comes the overwhelming task of finding a place for everything. But I am very happy to be living in my house.

Linda it is so great to be back. I have missed you so much.
I can't express how happy I am to be living in the house. Cooking on a regular size stove. Life is great, I'm tired but doing well.

do you have more room in this house than the one you moved from? we have done more unpacking the last couple weeks ourselves, but combining 2 households is tough. talk about finding a place for everything! Chuck keeps asking if i'm gonna sell this, sell that. i told him to worry about his own stuff. most of his stuff belongs to his kids and they "should" have it out of our garage by the end of this month. have fun! glad you are doing well. you are a "good" tired. i thought after our trip to Kentucky i would not do too good this week, but i've really done well and kept up. i hope it means my stamina is increasing. i hope to see alot more posts from you now! is your next project the apartment?

We moved from a trailer with around 1100 sqft to a big home for my area with 2232sqft. but we had alot of things stored in a storage unit for a few years. Family furniture my dad made and my baby cradle my uncle made for Jamie. So my house is full of boxes. We still haven't made Becky's bed in her room. so most of her boxes are scattered through out the house. We have the bed pieces cut out but my hubby ran out of energy before we could get it together. We will finish it tomorrow. My girlfriend's sister in law gave her kitchen cabinets she didn't need so she gave them to us for more storage in out kitchen. That was a great surprise for friday. Yesterday Dan and Mike a friend from work and my brother Tim moved all the big furnitre and the rest of Dan's tool boxes from the sheds and everything from the storage unit. We brought Becky's carpet from the trailer. She wanted it we had just put that in this year. It is black with neon colors with stars that glow in the dark. She has a style all her own.
But I did get to go scouting the nieghborhood today, needed a break from the stress of moving. So we took about an hour to drive around and look at properties see which house have sold and which one just came on the market. It was nice to see there were more sold in the last month than I saw the month before. But the weather is nice here now, people are coming out of hibernation in the northeast Ohio.

Lea, Thank you for your nice comments and for checking out my journal. I like keeping myself accountable. I figure if I make progress on the home, get it all in place in the next few months then I'll have my office set up the way I want it. and be free to persue my real estate investments with the same energy. I have my plan in my computers so when I get ready I will be that much ahead of the game. Thanks again for stopping in. Tammy

wow, that is so great! everything seems to be falling into place for you. i love looking at houses. we haven't been doing it as much as we should and i would like to, but it is so much fun. Chuck loves to tell me what he would do with each one and i really feel we need to get him a project going. i need to work on getting an offer package ready for one house and quit putting it off in favor of other things. i think a little bit of it has to do with "what if the offer is accepted?"

I love scouting houses, it is an relaxing way to spend my time, and it has always been something my husband and I have enjoyed for years. Even before we thought of becoming investors, we would take a long drive look at unique homes, and discuss what we liked and didn't like. Our kids didn't like it when they were little and now that they are older they can choose to come with us or stay home.

You are going to be nerveous for a while when you put in offers. I'm sure it will get easier the more you do it.

We are still unpacking and got a call from my husbands brother, They will be here friday afternoon. Which means my hubby wants things straightened out if not all unpacked. Well I'll get as much as I can done and worry about the rest after their visit.

I have lost my books in the move, I'm sure the kids put them in a box to come over from the trailer just not sure who pack the room they were in. So I check every box looking for them.

Trying to find time to read Joe's book. I read a little at a time. I am enjoying it. But don't think I'll make it to the contest. I just have so much going on right now. I want to buy a copy when it get published. So I can read it at my pace.

we're still unpacking after 1 1/2 years. you sound much more efficient in that. i hope you find your books soon; they are like a lifeline.

I miss my books so much, but I have so much to keep me busy while I look for them.

Today I had to take grandma to the doctor. That always takes the whole day. So not much getting done at the house.

Becky wanted to make her bed, So Dan and Becky built it last night. She did a good job. She wanted some extra storage under the bed so the legs are a bit tall , they made it about 2 ft tall for the base, but Dan forgot we bought a pillow top mattress for it so when they were all done the hieght is closer to 3 ft. but she loves it.

now she can start moving her boxes upstairs.

I will be back on when I get done unpacking.

really neat that they made the bed together. not everyone can do that. i am believing you are finding your books!

Found the books this weekend, I feel so much better.

Danny's family came up from southern ohio to visit for the weekend. They loved the house, His older brother raised Dan most of his life. Both Dan parents died before he was 13, so His brother stepped up and took care of Dan and his sister. It really means alot to Dan that he liked the house. We are planning to meet again this july at a motorcycle rally. It will be good for Dan. He bare gets to see his family. sometimes there is years between visits.

Still unpacking and finding homes for all our stuff. Finishing up cleaning the trailer so we can be done with that.

Trying to get back to my journal everyday but it seems that life is more distracting than before. But I am trying.

so you ride motorcycles??? i have been riding for years (although not much now because Chuck doesn't ride). my dad rode until he was 75 and had a steel rod put in his neck. my son rides a Kawasaki Mean Street Limited Edition 1900 (i think) and he is big into riding. even my girls love to ride. my grandson likes to wear part of his potty chair on his head as a helmet. i wish he would use it right!
