i am running on full steam today. i did my 3rd mentoring call this morning and we are moving along. just don't want my student to get overwhelmed by everything and i want her to be successful.

just got off the phone with a guy in Milwaukee, WI concerning L/O's. gave him a few pointers and trust that will help him out.

i have to check out a couple emails that might be opportunities to bring in money and help others out in their businesses. lots to do and time is passing so quickly. what fun!

my mentoring student had to change her appointment today and we have moved it to Friday morning. we are going to have to change it again for the next 3 weeks because i will be going to classes for in-home work starting next week and going for 3 weeks. then i should be back to having that flexibility once again. you can get very spoiled with that kind of schedule and i do love it!

i'm sending off paperwork today to join a commercial lender as an independent contractor. there will be webinars as training and i'm also working with a credit repair company. i will start that training tonight. working on getting as many "irons in the fire" as possible for multiple streams of income. and it can only help in the REI biz.

I had my mentoring call this morning and it went well. i'm so glad i pray before the call so that i can pick up on things i need to address. today, one of the main things i addressed was confidence, and i also mentioned having fun with all this. if we don't have fun, we aren't going to want to do it. i also decided today that i would send an email with the assignments, and not just say them over the call. i think maybe that will work better. i know that i like things in writing myself. my student is going to do some bird dogging for me in the natural course of her driving, so we may do some of my deals too.

we took a couple weeks off from the mentoring calls because of the holiday. we did a call on Skype last night and have another scheduled for Tuesday. we work on REI but we also work on personal improvement. today she emailed me and told me that i made her exercise, swear, eat her apple and drink her water! lucky woman she is!! we are also working on our words and thoughts because they affect everything in our lives. i have had some miracles come to pass doing that and just within the last week. mentoring someone is a great way to learn for yourself and reinforce what you know!

i did another mentoring session on Tuesday morning. we are having a few challenges, but we will get through it. i did a personality test for my student so i could know more about where she comes from mentally and emotionally. it was very interesting. i also recommended she get the book "Personality Plus" so she could understand herself and others better.

tonight is our REIC meeting. not sure what we will be learning about tonight, but it's always good to be around other investors. we have some good ones in our group. my student is supposed to be there too. we have OK InvestorFest in May and we are going as partners because we basically are. it saved us quite a bit of money because they were running an awesome special for the month of March and we got in on it. i'm excited to go and listen to all the good stuff that will be shared during that time.

i'm also working on some credit repair stuff, especially for L/O's. once i have everything going, i will tell more about it on here. it is really good!

i had another mentoring session this morning and it went very well. we barely talked about real estate; we had more important personal things to deal with first. sometimes when we are in the middle of something, we can't see the forest for the trees. many times someone outside of the situation(s) can see it objectively and help us find our way. we scheduled another session on Friday so we can go over a script and do some roll playing. i'm a life coach first and a real estate coach second. i think the mental/emotional things can get in our way, so those have to be dealt with and many times first.

the REIC meeting last week was really good. we had a round table meeting with contractors. everyone really got a lot out of it and i met some great people. i highly recommend getting involved in your local REIC. our luncheon is this Thursday and i plan on being there. it's always great to be around like-minded people.

our REIC has free meetings at lunchtime on the first and third Thursdays of the month. one is for brainstorming and the other is for landlords. yesterday was the landlord meeting and it went really well. we had a good group, we are now in a big room with great big comfy chairs that we put in a circle and we had some good discussions. several landlords were there, but they either fell into being a landlord or have been doing it as a hobby. time to get serious! we had some really good input and great questions asked. everyone got involved and that makes for a very good meeting.

i had a great mentoring session on Tuesday. i seem to be as much of a life coach, if not more a life coach. that's ok with me because you have to get your mental stuff going in the right direction before the other things start coming into place. there are only a few "gurus" out there that even touch upon that issue, but it is a biggie.

the nice thing for me is that my student is so complimentary to me. the other day i told her i hope my head fits through the doors now. she and i are going as partners to the OK InvestorFest this weekend and we are both really looking forward to it. we have a couple classes we are especially interested in. the price was great and i could bring a guest for free, so we split the cost and the price became even better!

sounds like the EDGE 2013 was awesome. i am enjoying the pictures and stories as they come in. i plan to be there next year and meet all you wonderful DG students.

this past weekend i was at the OK InvestorFest. it was really good and it's always good to make new friends and network. we had several different speakers, including a couple local guys. we have some very successful investors in our REIC and we had lots of newbies attend the conference. i barely slept for 2 days, but it was worth it. the only suggestion i have for the speakers is "please respect the attendees' time". every one of our speakers ran over on time and we were constantly rushed through breaks and meals, which we had to leave and find a place to eat. they got so caught up in what they were selling or explaining that they just didn't want to stop. that is tough when you are sitting for hours at a time. we did have tables for everyone so it was more comfortable and easier to take notes. my elbows are sore from leaning on those tables. i take good notes and when people would have a question about something we heard, i could just look it up. somehow people are drawn to me and ask lots of questions about investing. i was able to point some people in the right direction and encourage them in their REI journey. it was a busy, fun, informative weekend. now if they just hadn't asked me to give a testimonial on video after 2 very long days. i asked if they had a bag i could put over my head with 2 eye holes in it, but they said they didn't have one.

i just moved again this weekend. it was a God thing and it happened so fast that i could barely keep up. i was in shock for days. i knew that i was moving and had to find a place, but i had no inspiration to start looking. and that was knowing that i wanted to move this past weekend. Tuesday my daughter told me she had been looking for apartments for me and asked if i wanted to go look at one. we went and looked and started the paperwork that day. i was approved and moved in this weekend. my head was whirling. not only that but i had to have a root canal and was dealing with an infection, plus got hit in the head. between being sore and tired from the move and all that other stuff, i am happy and thrilled to be here. now if that Move-In Fairy would get to work and get my apartment straightened up!!!

i like apartment living and have no desire to be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of a house. i'm not one for yard work and fixing things. it is a personal choice and one i am satisfied with. it's not for everyone, but it is for me. i think maybe i should just buy an apartment complex and give myself a free apartment.

i have my coaching session tomorrow morning then am meeting with a successful REI to go over some things on working together. this is an exciting time in my life. i was "moved" to permanently end a 40-year relationship that has been a real drain on me for years and felt that May 01st was the day to do it. i did and it's like it freed everything that was dammed up and now my life is flowing in the right direction. hard to explain typing it. every day i wonder what good thing is going to happen to me. this is an exciting time in my life.

I'm glad things are going well for you. You never know, with this release you are feeling, the health issues that you have had for so long may also improve.

Nothing like a FRESH start and it seems you have a super great outlook. I'm so excited for,you and what is ahead of you. I haven't talk to you in so long and I need to connect really soon. Basketball season has started which to my crazy to another level.
