OfflineMy husband and I just started the Success Academy a couple of weeks ago. The night we signed up I was so excited that I sent a few PM's to some students we met at EDGE 2010. Now we'll share our journey here.
Real Estate has been an interest of ours for many years. About 9 years ago we signed up for similar programs but, feel we weren't ready to move ahead raising our two small children.
Since then life has given us more experience and we feel more ready to invest now! I guess it's better now than never. I have always been a shy person and feel by writing here it will help us gain more confidence.
We've been on this website for a couple of years now listening to Dean's weekly blogs after buying our first book from Dean. We've purchased several DVD's also. Last year we had to go meet Dean at EDGE as well as gain more knowledge. What a wonderful event! Wish we could go again this year but, our commitment is with the academy now.
Since joining the academy so far, we have spoken to our coach a few times, watched a few courses, and listened to some phone seminars. We joined two local investor groups and attended an auction. We're in the process of finding an agent to begin building our team. We also had business cards made.

Well we think we found an agent today and it sounds promising! He says he's willing to work with us and is very flexible. We've been also researching local vendors to build more of our team. Looking forward to moving ahead with our exciting real estate adventure! Plan to be at next year's EDGE!
We've been busy learning with the academy courses. Our real estate agent we mentioned doesn't seem promising now. It's been almost 2 weeks and they haven't really been in touch with us. They had advertised "Out of the Box" investors they were willing to work with. It sounded good but, we can't wait around. We need to find buyers! We're off to find other agents this week!

Hello, I totally can identify -- I have always been interested in real estate and I have in the past attempted but did not take the plunge at RE investing, and I bought different programs, but I guess the time was not right. I joined the Success Academy in March -- and although I am learning I have had a few personal interruptions which has set me back a few weeks. So I am back in the drivers seat and currently looking for a RE agent as well. Best of luck to us both. Let's keep in touch...

We're reviewing our courses, researching and going to the REI meetings.
We've gone to so many REI meetings this past month and are busy networking. Learned so much and are making this a reality. Just have to stay focused and decide what area we want to concentrate on.
Still learning alot and met many investors these past couple of months. Since we have some knowledge now it's time get over fear and take action!
Well I've been laid up on crutches for the past month and haven't done much with REI and it is so frustrating! We could be full of many excuses but, tired of them. Don't know why it's so hard to take action when we know it will be fine once we get going. Hope this loop in our lives will push us harder once I could walk again soon. May God give us and other beginners here who want to do something better in our lives strength and courage to move ahead quickly and get out there!
Here we are 2 years later! We have let setbacks and everyday life situations take us away from our goals and dreams. However, we have been committed to our kids with their dreams. Now it's time to focus back on REI! We just joined Insider Elite and are excited to be a part of this great site! We've been in contact with a realtor the last couple of weeks and are reading the "30 Days to Real Estate Cash." Taking Action!

It's good to hear things over and over because it gives me more confidence and not be so afraid to take action. Working with a realtor, got the cash buyers list and getting to know our local market.
