I am an investor in the Indianapolis area. I am looking for all types of deals. I am new to the process but everyday I break new ground I'm just waiting for the first deal to pop off at anytime.

Hi, Indiana Joe. I don't know if you invest close to me or not. I can also invest in Chicago. That is where I'm originally from. It would be nice to share ideas with you. I have been learning the market and investors in this area for about a year and a half. I am a member of the NICIA real estate investor's club here, so I have a met a few investors, but one can never know too many real estate investors, right? Have a great weekend.

I am from Chicago and just starting to be a real estate investor. My target areas are in the Chicagoland area just northwest of the City. There are so many short sales and foreclosure properties and I am currently working with a knowledgeable real estate agent. I don't have any deals yet but working very hard to make one. I am also trying to form my network here in addition to joining real estate investor club. The first one is with WCRT on September 3, 2009. I am so excited with this new endeavor.
Thanks for the comments. The greater Chicagoland area is so large with many opportunities north, west and south of the city. I believe you will find many opportunities NW of the city. It is amazing to see how the area transitioned around the whole Lincoln Park area in the past 15 years and the development that is happening in the sw area of the Pilsen Neighborhood, etc. is very promising.
Dean's books and programs are packed with great information, tips, techniqus and strategies. Dean's materials are everything you need to be successful in real estate investing. I read that you have set some goals including attending Dean's Live EDGE event next year. The EDGE event in 2009 was tremendous and it is a great decision to attend the EDGE event in 2010.

Hi, Indiana Joe. Well, the NICIA group is steadily growing. I have been a member for about a year and a half. The meetings are at 9:00 a.m., the second Saturday of every month. They also have an email group once you join. Meetings are held in Merrillville, IN at the Avalon Manor, 3550 Linoln Highway (US30). They have been having their meetings for about 10 years. The market is Porter County right now is okay, but some of the guys have cash and are buying up all of the good deals. I just started working with a realtor, and it seems as though Lake County is the place to buy. I guess I'll have to change my strategy. How is your investing going?
