So it looks pretty ok. Huh. I made so many changes within the last 2 days. I actually had some visitors, the first day and yesterday.Had people from different towns in P.a and som from Cal, and some from Indiana, some from New York its amazing. Dont be folled I had about 16 visitors. THanks and glad its ok. What would you think if you were a potential client checking me out?

Thank you. Working on getting my marketing tactics in place. So I can create business and have people calling me. I am going to set up the voice mail box pretty soon which is immportant. I do have flyers and business cards coming. As soon as Ige the flyers I will be pounding the pavement sticking them up and handing them out along with my business cards which both have the site on it. So the plan is for now to have people go to the site and so if I can attract leads untiL I get the voicemail box set up. Hope you guys get your sites set up soon if you havent already. Marketing is important.

Thanks everyone for all the comments. Veryinterested I didnt get the site throught Dean. So if thats what you are referring to I cant tell you if the site is free or not. But I didnt go out and get some expensive hosting and have some 100% custom site put together. But does the site look good enough to attract clients that go to it? Rosefield I appreciate the compliment. I actually got a call from a licensed contractor from the site in 3 days wantting to know about what I do, and he said he wanted to invest and wanted to offer his services. But we keep missing each other on the phone but I will him until I get him. Reason I say he is from the site is I have no other marketing out there saying I am an investor and noone knows what I do yet. Thanks again.

Its so cheap guys trust me. Start to work on your marketing. Thats my goal right now to get all my marketing in place. I still will get out and hustle but I am trying to make things flow smoother. Within 3 days of having the site up a licensed contractor/investor called and motivated seller sent me his information to receive information about the options I offer. Its not major but a little action motivated so much more to keep going, which assured me that its possible.

I have one thru Dean, but it's a foreclousre site which it's not that bad, but i would like to have a more professional website like yours and Anita. Great work! Thanks for the compliment. Glad you like it. There are many compnaies tht offer web hosting and you can choose a template. Some are cheap and some are expensive. But now of days having a website is like having a sell phone. So donnot pay an arm and a leg for 1. You get a site up and running for 10-20 bucks a month. It can take maybe 20 min to set up and you can change when ever you it from your computer. Its easy dont think you to have some wiz o this for you. This is part of the reason they were so expensive because they know people likeme and you dont know waht it entails to get 1 up. So they have the upper hand. But I know now.

Using the letters inc just because it sounds good is not a good business practice and here's why. If you publicize that your company is in fact a corporation and someone investigates your company only to find out that your business is not a corporation at all, you've lost all credibility. In this business we solve problems for distressed homeowners and we have to act with professionalism and with integrity. My company is an L.L.C. which is similar to a corporation with less "red tap." It is not at all required or necessary to have a corporation or an limited liability corporation, but if you advertize that your company is either of the two, it should reflect that. It's no different than a lawyer practicing law without passing the bar exam. Is a person a doctor if they don't have a doctorite in their field of work? NO! I don't want this to come back and potentially hurt your credibilty in any way because you seem like a highly motivated individual and that's what will help you succeed.

For those of you that are interested in building your own website to further broaden your marketing and audience pool, go to www.officelive.com and register your domain name FOR FREE. Yes it's free. I've had mine for years and I haven't paid a single cent for it either. (although the site will try to sell you an "upgrade" package that may allow you to do more stuff, but I don't see the need for the upgrade) All they ask is for a debit or credit card number just to verify that you are in fact the person that you say you are. It will take time if you're not savy with webpages but you can literally have one up and running within a few days. You'll be able to track your visitors and other various things. I hope others will see this post and go there to get their domain name and begin building their website because it will in deed give yourself credibility.

Thanks a mill for your opinion. This exactly why I created this forum, so that I can get different opinions on my site. It is helpful because this is all still very new to me. What you said makes plenty of sense thankks for your input once again. So what which would be a better way to corporate? Is the LLC or the Inc better?

In my honest opinion an L.L.C. is much better for us investors because you get all of the same tax benefits like a large corporation but you can operate on a "small" scale. The big perk with having an llc is that you can get a credit card in your company's name and not have to worry about your own personal credit history. Also, you can also get a line of credit in your company's name with decent interest rates that you can use for the sake of your business. You may want to use it for touch up jobs before reselling it/assigning it to an end buyer or another investor. Just have the discipline to not use your company credit card for steak dinners and entertainment because you'll end up hurting your long-term goals which is to make a better life for you and your family or whatever your financial goals might be. Just start small and build from there. I know you want to do it all like we all do at first which can be overwhelming. You already have a website so you're good there. Next, get some business cards. Just google "free business cards" and you'll find many to chose from. This is a perfect form of advertisement because you can get 50 or 100 business cards (all you pay is for shipping) and then you can put them all over the place ie. laundry mats, restaurants, grocery stores, in public bathrooms (you get the idea). Another good thing about a business card is that it will stay around for weeks or months for people to see. You'll of course want to hand them out to people during casual conversation also.

They are perfect for those "so what do you do?" conversations.... When you're asked, "so what do you do?" (even if your an electrian, waiter, teacher, truck driver etc) You can say "I'm a private real estate investor. What I do is I locate homeowners who need to sell their home fast FOR CASH." If you know anyone wanting to sell their home or know anyone that wants to buy a home because they're sick of renting or have been turned down by a bank, have them call me." <<< You'll want to give them 2-3 business cards that way the person you talked to can keep one and then that same person can in turn promote your service to their co-worker, friend, or relative. etc. You can also go to a Kinko's or some other printing service but with these cards it may be better to go the "cheaper" route.

Yes when in doing business protect yourself as much as possible by not using your personal name without getting a Corp.(Inc./LLC or S)! When you get the Corporation, You can call it what ever that is not taken (Names)!The one that i really like is a LLC and i must say it is a Corp. that states"Limited Liability"...Why is it that i feel my liabilities are not limited!

Thanks for the compliments and all the valuable info you have passed forward to me. But guess what Gary, I got my business cards this Tuesday afternoon. The theme matches the site. I am working on some fliers now, will have them by the weekend. I am working on my marketing right now. I am now going to turn my business name into a legal corporation. Thanks to your advice. Thanks to everyone that has participated in this thread. I have gained some very useful info from this thread, and all of you.

Kingiuss, I will be honest, only because I care and would prefer that your site be perfect and bring in investment opportunities to your company. Like one of the other DG members commented, the color is a bit distracting to the eyes at first glance. The information is great, however, some editing need to be done. In some areas, you speak about out company and others it is more personal by the pronoun I which the reader might be a bit deterred about. Have someone who is a little more experienced review the contents and make the necessary recommendations. What I applaud is the determination in acting on developing your own web page, which many of us, myself included have not yet done. I applaud you for that. Good Luck, I support you.
