I probably should be taking baby steps...

Well I am really new to all this and I've learned sooo much info from Dean's books and this site. But I guess my problem is, I'm jumping around too much and I haven't decided where I should start. I mean, I've placed ads on Craiglist looking for sellers, but I probably should have been looking for buyers 1st instead. Just all the info is kinda getting me a little confused I guess.
Here's the skinny; My wife and I recently refinanced our house. So as of right now we've got between $10-$15,000 to invest. I just got laid off from my job. I am in construction. Been for over 20yrs. So I can definately do the work if a home needs it. I would love to buy and hold a few rentals, but because we just refinanced and I've been laid off I don't think we'll be able to. Credit not so great either. So we can wait to buy and hold I guess.
So I'm just looking for some ideas on where some of you folks would start if you were in our shoes. There's a ton of very intelligent people on this site and I know someone will have the right solution...
Todd

Didnt mean it in a bad way

but bringing up the same topic in a different thread is kind of a waste of time and its 'double dipping', which is frowned upon here.

Trust me, as soon as you can contact and meet w James, and then most of your initial steps will be in place
