Yikes

That's why we CANNOT CUT CORNERS! Always use licensed vendors to do work for us or our buyers period and would be a great idea to check them out with Yelp & the BBB & Google them & also check their references, like I was taught.

Of course comply with all Federal, State & local laws. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. May he rest in peace, the gentlemen who passed away.

protect your company

It's so very important to make sure that we're all in compliance with the law as we work on improving properties. The article also reports that the company in question was cited last year and ordered to stop operations after the labor commissioner found that it had failed to provide workers' compensation coverage to their employees.

If you spend enough time to grow a business big enough to have actual employees you should also spend the time to find out about, (and comply with), the laws that are surrounding your business and employees.

Your business like any other investment should be protected by making sure that you do whatever is necessary to comply with applicable laws. If you are approaching a gray area where you’re not completely sure what to do, get a professional to help you learn what the rules are.
