Think and Grow Rich/ message to Mr. Graziosi

Think and Grow Rich/ message to Mr. Graziosi

I would like to apologize in advance for the length of this post. It will be in two parts. The first will be a message to Mr. Graziosi and the second will be a success story relating to that message. I would also, like to thank all in advance who give this post a read and I hope very much that it finds its way to Mr. Graziosi.

Part 1:

Dear Mr. Graziosi,
Hi, my name is Steve Marshall. I am 26 years old and have been learning your material for the better part of this year. I love your website and your books and admire you greatly as a person. You appear to be the exact type of person I wish to become.

The reason for this post is that I have a suggestion for you that I believe could be of great value to both you and your students should you agree to use it. I would like to suggest to you two books. "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill and "How to Stop worrying and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie. From the way that you teach and things that you say (burning desire and mastermind groups), I wouldn't be surprised if you have already read one or both of these books yourself. That being said, and in keeping with your trend of "self improvement" over the past couple of weeks in the weekly wisdoms, I think it would be a great idea for you to recommend them in next weeks weekly wisdom. The material in these books seems to fit flawlessly with your teachings and I know first hand what a profound effect they can have on a persons daily life. (I'll describe my personal experience with them in part 2.) They seem to build the perfect "mental foundation" to get in the right mindset to accomplish your real estate goals. I hope you will see this message and take my suggestion, as I do believe it could be a great help to all of your students. I would also like to thank you so very much for all that you do for the DG family.

Best Regards,
Steve

Part 2:

I learned about Mr. Graziosi back in the spring of 2013 and bought one of his books from Barnes and Noble book store. I have always had the desire to lead a life of financial freedom and I believed that real estate was the best vehicle to take me there. I signed up for a free seminar by Mr. Graziosi's team, but unfortunately could not take the 3 day workshop because I could not afford it. I tried on my own for a while, but kept failing and quitting due to fear and doubt. I would have constant struggles with laziness, and anxiety about it all. A few months ago, I decided to go at it full steam again. I built a solid buyers list and found a decent agent. I put in some offers, but nothing stuck and I eventually gave up again. Then a couple of weeks ago something happened that changed me for the better and did so permanently.

I work during the day as an electronics test technician. It is a long and monotonous day. The one benefit is that I am allowed to wear headphones while working. I recently listened to an audio book of Think and Grow Rich. It talked a great deal about burning desire and other principles one needs to follow to achieve success.
Doing the seven levels deep exercise as described by Mr. Graziosi, I had previously concluded that my burning desire was to get rich so that I could take care of myself and my loved ones. After reading think and grow rich, I went back and did the exercise again with much more thought. I now see that my burning desire is to create the absolute best version of myself, not just obtain money. I want to be more confident, driven, personable, caring, compassionate, wealthy, and powerful. All of these things so that not only can I help those I care about financially, but so that I may be able to help them in most all aspects of life. Happiness for myself and all that I'm close to. I also wish this for anyone with noble ambitions.

I created definite plans for achieving each aspect of my burning desire and a strict daily schedule to follow to keep my on track. I know now that with the right mindset, all goals will be achieved. One may experience temporary defeat, but never failure as long as you are persistent. I now have a great agent and am putting in a lot of lead generating techniques to find deals. I will not let anything stop me this time and I know my first one is right around the corner!

I hope this has inspired some of you to give these books a read and I thank anyone that has taken the time to read this long post. I wish all of you the best in real estate and your lives.

Please feel free to share your thoughts, and discuss the books if you wish. Thanks again.

Steve good suggestion, but

I believe that he has probably read them and many people have already discussed them as good books somewhere on this site before. Good reminder or information for those that don't know though.

Yeah, I figured he read

Yeah, I figured he read them. I didn't know they were discussed here previously, but I figured if they had been, it wouldn't hurt to refresh anybody's memory or to inform new members about the books. I haven't seen them specifically referenced anywhere in the 5 months I've been on the site so I figured it certainly couldn't hurt to post about them. thank you for your response.

Napolean Hill and Dale Carnegie

These two guys are the Grandfathers of the motivational authors and speakers. No library would be complete that did not include these two men. You ought to also consideer Og Mandino and in more recent times Steven Covey and Zig Ziglar. Also, I have heard Dean personally leaarns from Tony Robbins.

The key is to know that all of these me teach and taught truth. The principles they taught and teach do lead to better living. Keep up the good work and always keep expanding your mind.
