The assessors site would be

The assessors site would be your quickest and best option. Maybe you're just looking in the wrong place. Can you tell me the county/state and maybe I can post the link here for you. Many counties have this information public on the web, so I couldn't imagine it not being there.

Dominic thank you for responding. ive been on the county assessors sight and keep getting no match. the property is located in san Bernardino county in California. ive also been on Netronline.com but still no luck. im guessing calling the assessors office would be my next step if I cant find the info online.thanks again for the response. I look forward to hearing from you.

I did some research and

I did some research and found this site:

http://www.mytaxcollector.com/trSearch.aspx

Try putting the address in there, or try the partial address if the full address isn't showing anything.

Let me know if that helps!

web site

Dominic thank you for the advice. the site did work.

This may be obvious, but did

This may be obvious, but did you Goggle the owners name? If not try it with location info in the search such as "Will Smith Longbeach CA". you might find him/her that way. I found one I need using goggle.

Another Source

When this happens to me, I start by locating the property on the equalization map through the county's GIS system. These maps are often online and are linked to the property information card showing the tax id, legal description, owner's name, tax payer's name and amount of taxes due. This is a great resource for locating difficult properties.

LA County

The LA County site does not provide the owner's name or address. Do they usually provide this information or am I looking in the wrong place?

I recently got a few private

I recently got a few private messages of people asking me to help them with finding the website for their county.

"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime"

I'm going to avoid giving you all the exact link just because I know if you want it enough you will be able to find it. My guess is that 99% of the counties in the US have this info available online, but it just might take a little digging.

Start off by Googling phrases such as:

"_____ county tax assessor"
"_____ county property search"
"_____ county parcel search"

and then start digging from there. Last resort would be calling your county and asking them where you can find the online portal.

I promise the information is out there in almost every county, and I know LA County is a pretty big county, so I can almost guarantee you will find that information online.

Best of luck to you all!
