spread sheet

Trying to find info on a buyers list spread sheet. I searched it but not getting any results. Not really sure what one is. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Ryan.

Spread Sheet

In my office we use Excel spread sheets. The information on clients are typed in for easy use. An example of our Sellers Spread Sheet would be our seller name, address, phone, fax, email, property address, sale amount. For the Buyers name, address, phone, fax, email. We also have spread sheets on our suppliers and web accounts.

Hope this helps,
Kat

Ryan,

It sounds like you got some good information from Kat already. In regards to a buyer's "spreadsheet" or buyer's "list," you usually create the summary form yourself.

You gather all the information and summarize the information that is important to you about each prospective buyer. That way when you review deals, you may know which buyers may have an interest in that particular type of property. I hope this helps. Good luck with real estate investing. Believe and Achieve! Smiling - Joe

Buyer's spread sheet

Just a suggestion on determining the "right" buyer's list spreadsheet. Don't get overwhelmed with any particular program or spreadsheet. If you are a spreadsheet guru and very comfortable with spreadsheets you can pull one together quickly. If you aren't used to working with spreadsheets, then find a method that works for you. It could be as simple as pen and paper or there are specific programs that can be purchased to maintain your buyer's list. I don't recommend trying to learn a new program right at the start, keep it simple and workable for you and grow into the next phase. Having the buyer's list is crucial to getting started so jump in and put a list together so you have places to go with properties you find.

Spreadsheet

I actually use ACT for both my Buyers and Sellers lists. It allows me to customize for whatever I need, as well as only sending properties to buyers that are looking for those specs. I can also specify geography, etc. What I really love is that I can track Buyers activity and what properties go to what buyers, etc.

It's a little bit of an investment up front, but worth every penny.
