I have proudly served twelve years in the Army as a vehicle mechanic. I am currently full time Arizona National Guard. I have a back ground in computer networking and operated a handyman service.
Real Estate Investing has been a dream of mine since I was eighteen year old. My dream began when I was asked to help a neighbor remodel a triplex he had purchased from HUD. I remember saying to him that we should go around buying, fixing and renting places all over Mesa. When I was stationed at Fort Hood one of my sergeants hold me a story of one of his troop he had who barrowed $3,000 form his dad and bought a triplex in Killeen, TX. He lived on base and rented it out to young military couples and made a $500 cash flow from it. He continued to buy triplexes in the surrounding area and by the time that his enlistment was up he had nine properties and made a good living. Around that same time I would stay up late watching the “No Money Down” infomercials and wonder if I could do the same. Over the years that thought has constantly been on my mine. I never had the money to “go for it”. I have read almost every book by Robert Kiyosaki and several others. I have known many other people who has developed wealth with real estate and they all have said, “ takes money to make money”.
One Sunday a church my pastor gave a sermon about dreams. He said a dream that has been in your mind and on your heart for a long time is the vision God has on your life. Because of circumstances in one’s life, we may not always listen to the voice of God. When he was done with the sermon we went into silent prayer. Pastor told the conjuration to ask that God will guide you to his dream or vision. So I did.
The following weekend late at night I was flipping through channels and came across Dean’s show. I have watched his show many times before. I think the first time was a year ago. But this time he really had my attention. Although I would try to turn the channel, I just couldn’t. I remembered the prayer and before I went to bed, I asked God is this guy for real? Is this what you want me to do?
The next day I came straight home from work, went to his website and ordered his book. After the first chapter I was hooked. I called the 800 number and became a student. I may not know what I am doing but I believe that this is what God want me to do and Dean’s team will teach me.
