Joplin, Mo. relief effort...where to send the money.
Dean after extense on the ground work here in Missouri, I have finally found something I can recommend and based on your principles, I think you will like because 1)The money will get to the people of Joplin. 2)As an entrepuer, i think you will love love and appreciate, the history behind this one.
Senator Danforth(Mo.)has setup a fund raising effort to he business people of Joplin to get back on their feet(www.joplintomorrow.org). Senator Danforth is huge in the St. Louis area and so is his family, The Danforth Foundation,Washington University,Ralston Purina,etc. The
history of his efforts, the final act of the Danforth foundation May 2011 was to donate $500,000 to help business
people rebuild, exactly 115 years after the great tornado of 1896 destroyed parts of St. Louis, including a small feed company started by Sen. Danforth's grandfather. A local banker at that time loaned his grandfather $25K(which in todays economy would be equivalent to $750K)to rebuild his feed company. As a result today we have Ralston Purina Co., Washington University, a Senator,etc. Give this one a look Dean, I hope it meets your criteria..
