I'm 47 years old and about to embark on a journey into a new career that I've been puting off my whole life. I've always known that real estate investing was the path I should have taken a long time ago. Like a lot of people, I would order something and start out "red hot" then set it aside or lose motivation then go back to my regular job which was in the auto industry. Twenty years finance experience in that business and now out of work. My back is against the wall now and with my wife, two daughters and a mortgage that would choke a horse being direct motivating factors, I'm ready to take this seriously. I have the time and more importantly, the desire to learn. Coming from an industry where everyone kept secrets and would stab you in the back for their own gain, it's refreshing to see so many people eager to help teach and share information with new investors so that they can become successful.
