I am a South African who moved to New Zealand in 2004 with my family. I taught at a Boys college for 10 years back home. Coming to NZ I've worked in various industries, from being a checkout operator, teacher aide, relief teacher, healthcare assistant and administrator. Currently I work part time as a caregiver for the elderly, to be able to also focus on my dream/goal to become a REI.
I made a decision last year, when joining another forum, that this is where I want to go. to become financially independent and in charge of my own life/being my own boss.

Whilst working as a Healthcare Assistant I also had a small business selling South African home baking. The demand was not big enough and therefore didn't pursue it after 2 years in business.
