OK, so I hate to start the blog on a negative note, but I don't have time/energy to catch up all the past two years of positives, and just want to get the blog started--please see our "journal" for all the positives that have taken place up to now--there are TONS !
So we did bandit signs RIGHT this weekend. 25 YELLOW signs, hand written with a sharpie, "We buy houses, any condition" phone number + web site @ bottom. We didn't get ONE call !!! Now let me back up---we actually had done bandit signs back in Sept. the "wrong" (white signs, "3/2, must sell" phone number) way and got over 30 calls ! We are pretty perplexed about this. We even kept calling the google voice number on the signs over the weekend to make sure it was working ! We chose to put these signs in a "hot area" (completly different city from last time) where an agent had told us was best for selling starter homes at the current time. If anyone has any suggestions, we would love to hear them. We definately will not give up on the bandit signs, cause we know they will work, but we are a little puzzled by this last experience . . .

Bandit signs
Does anyone know who to contact in each location to see if you are allowed to post bandit signs? I would hate to loose mine, time, effort, cost.
Also don't want any fines.
city ordinances
You can contact the city and ask, they are illegal most places, but so are garage sale signs, political signs, etc. We always just leave ours up from Fri. night to Sun. night and have not had any problems at all. We have done them twice now, and only lost 1 or 2 signs the first time(we think those blew away)
good idea
We will try that after the holidays !
