A few weeks back I put out bandit signs....hand written but I had the foam Dollar store 20x30 sheets and Lowels garden stakes (get stakes at home depot instead.....come in a variety of lengths).
I received a couple dozen calls about the 4 ghost ads....wow and they where all on the same intersection (probably added credibility from all the other non ghost ads surrounding the area).
I had another 20 out there (non 3b/2b ghost ads) they were "I Buy Houses" , "I buy fast, close fast", "Want a fast sell.....CLOSED" etc.... I mixed it up a bit and took pictures of every sign.
Well, DON'T BUY FOAM !!!!
it begins to warp in the heat and twist in at the corners and I was foolish enough to use 2 deck screws. ....then the wind blew most of them down and away.
Oh Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
The next day when I say them.....I took my industrial stapler(hand held T50)and I stapled the daylights out of them......Not much better but a couple lasted a week.
Well, I just acquired 100 corrugated plastic 12x18 with the metal stakes.....ahhhhh much better......I put out 70 last night....took me 10 hours.....whew

Signs gone!
code patrol got most all my signs.....remember I did it wrong in my earlier blog?.
I have a whole bunch more to put-up (the right ones this time).
It's election time again....politicians hogin' the premium corners.
....I had a premium corner to place a sign at 4:30 am....I stopped on the side street with hazards flashing....got my signs in and on the way back to the truck....I could see red & blue lights all around my pickup.
I got into the middle of the street heading toward the vehicle and the young officer was getting out and I waived and said, "hey", (thinking...darn...I'm getting a ticket).
He said what's going on..I replied....just hanging bandit signs....(he reaches for his gun....I pulled out a sign and said.....I buy houses!) He said oh....I said I post County Sheriff election signs for a dollar a pop.
He said good luck with that and left.
I park off street now.
