in June of 2009 I saw Dean on TV and he seemed different than any other "Guru" on TV. I don't know what it was about him but I took a chance and ordered his books. I began to read and read and read. I then read some more. I became a big reader of everything real estate. Unfortunately I was just reading and not doing much else. about a year later the Success Academy came a calling and I thought I was ready, I joined and hauled off and did nothing. I was going through some tough health challenges but that is no excuse, and I knew it. Another eight months goes by, again, I acted on absolutely nothing. Then one weekend, when my parents were visiting I began to share with my father what I was "attempting" to do in real estate.

July 1st, 2011 | posted by jholdenWith independence day coming up I thought today was a good day to being documenting my REI progress. This will force me to stay on track, tuned in to the DG family, and find the success I'm seeking in REI.
I've had three short sales deals in the works over the last two years. All three were referrals I gave an investor RE broker I worked with when buying my own first two rental properties a few years ago. He agreed to pay me, at the time, a 10% referral fee. I have since begun working with a new Investor RE agent who has agreed to pay me a 25% "marketing fee". This 25% is the same percentage RE agents give to referring agents so the second agent had no problem offering me 25% of a deal she would not have had otherwise. I met this agent at one of the local REI clubs I attend.

I can't wait to meet and exchange knowledge with the members. I have completely read Dean's book Be A Real Estate Millionaire, and I am currently reading Your Town, Your Real Estate Profits. I've learned so much, and i'm ready to learn so much more and apply what i've learned. LES GO!!!!

I have a revolutionary concept using Deans strategy that I am working very hard to get off the ground. The problem is that I need 100 willing people to join up with me. I am really excited to share my new idea with you all, at any time. I have several people involved including property attorneys, title companies, and now all I need is Investors. so this is a shout out to all of you who have been successful and would like to now how to take you success to the next level. Started again....
June 30th, 2011 | posted by blnecI had read and finished both of Dean's latest books in January of 2011. I started a blog back then but only posted a couple of times. Although I haven't participated on this site, I have been busy taking in Dean's books and following through with many of his ideas. I have also been reading as much information from other professional's books and Real Estate related information as I can get my hands on.
So since Jan, here what I've been doing:
- posted ghost ads on CL and started working on both buyers and sellers lists.
- joined our local RE investment association and attended meetings.
- joined our local RE investment club and attended meetings.
- networking with individuals from both clubs to create contacts for investing opportunities.
Indiana Joe's Conference Call

I am a newby and just got off the conference call with Dean and Joe. It was awesome! I am so excited to get out there and start using some of their tips and get that first deal under my belt and on my way to many more! I do have one question though - is it ok to start making these contacts without having my buyers list in place? Can I just use an exit clause "pending approval of associates" if I get a deal but can't finance it myself or find a buyer? I look forward to being here much more and getting some good advice!
