Well, that was a great event. They were expecting 50 ppl and 100 showed up!
I Always, did. I say ALWAYS, pick up another gem.
Plus I met a couple there who are originally from very near my original home town in England! So cool. Even though my accent is long gone it was great to hear the familiar to my heart dialect.

Flagstaff event

I was at the event in Flagstaff on 08/02/2012. I was kind of disappointed in the event. I thought that Dean would be there, not to say that the people that ran the event were great. All of the programs were also great. I liked the special pricing and if I could have afforded it I would have jumped in with both feet. Maybe it is me but I still do not understand how this will work. I am one step closer to doing something, because my wife "My Biggest Naysayer" was starting to take interest. I would like to do everything that Dean has to offer, but I am literally living paycheck to paycheck and it is disability income and I have nothing left at the end of the month. I get paid monthly and when all is said and done I am $10.00 in the hole every month. I have had a short sale on my house in Phoenix and it has totally destroyed my credit. So unless Dean comes up with a way to train me without payment until I start buying and selling houses or buying tax liens along with Dean's company, which started my wife thinking what if, all I can do is read, study and pray for some kind of intervention when it comes to buying and selling real estate. Thanks for letting me vent.

Disappointed

Hi
I was wondering if starting with a smaller part would help you get started. Have you thought of or even gotten involved as a birddog?

It doesn't take any money and helps you to build an income to the next level if you wanted to go there.

The homes in distress as you may know, are everywhere

Cheers

I'm with you JDoss----My wife and I have been members of Dean's club for a few years now and we just can't seem to get it going. This stuff is not for everyone and you definitely need money or credit to get most of it going(it's certainly doesn't hurt). We even purchased the mentor program back in 2009 and I think its just a way for them to make more money. The way Dean talks, it really does sound like he cares and there are genuine people who truly want to make it work but money is a huge obstacle. And if he wanted, I believe Dean can design such a program to those who are true, to pay as we make deals. To design a way for Dean's payment to automatically come out of a deal. Make it happen Dean,,,,because if you don't, your just like all the rest of these real estate guru's. It's just about the almighty dollar....

Mentoring

Perhaps you are able to re -visit the mentorship for a bit and, like John, start with smaller tasks and choose a role that builds toward your goals.

Wishing you the best!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a difficult time getting your rei going... I honestly think that you don't need money to do wholesaling; there are plenty of investors here who have been getting deals who have no jobs or money, but they are out there every day, putting in offers!
It's not easy, and it's not for everyone, but it is possible.

Have you joined any rei clubs in your area? Network with other investors; if you offer to find properties for them, they will gladly mentor you and show you what they're looking for... once you get one deal done it will boost your confidence; it's hard to keep up your motivation when you're not accomplishing much, but that's the time when you need to push yourself the hardest.

Wishing you both success,
