You asked is anyone live in Iowa, my husbands folks all live in Iowa. Des Moine, his folks just recently moved to Moline, Ill. but the rest are still in Iowa, Des Moine. I am from Texas, We live in East Texas. I was born in North Carolina, though at Fort Bragg, and my husband was born in California and raised in Iowa. Nice to meet you here. I am new here and I am reading the first of Deans books. I can't wait to make my first deal. I am looking for some buyers. Do you know any in your area? I found some properties online in the Illinois area under $30 each. I would like to get a buyer involved, and you could possibly help me with these properties and we both could make a deal together to get started, are you interested? Let me know.

Is there a certain type of rei you're pursuing right now? We could do assignments but Iowa has very strict guidelines about them. Or we could start looking for houses to flip for quick cash. Hi, I live in Burlington and have been looking for someone that would be interested in partnering here in Southeast Iowa. I don't have a lot of experience but I would like to give it a try. I invited a couple of people to join in networking here and he is from NYC. He is interested and would like to do some research for the Des Moines area. I find this is a frequently asked question on all the threads on DG's site. The best way to get one is to google "real estated wanted" or google "I buy houses" to narrow down the search parameters type in "I buy houses Iowa" and that should help get you investors. Also if you want to advertise your properties you want to sell google "free classified ads" you'll probably find people interested in buying. Another way is to do what dean says in his books and look at his Newest TV show that he has listed on the main page to the left. I hope this helps.

How to get investors
Hi everyone, I live in Southeast Iowa in Burlington. The best way to find investors is to do what Dean says in his books and then get on this website and go throught he different threads. You'll find quite a few people that are buying and selling. Also go to the left of the main page and hit classified ads. Under that heading you will find real estate wanted, go through those ads and see if there is anything there that may interest you. I have found several and am getting ready to find properties for a few but mostly in Des Moines and St. Louis. Another thing you could do is google "Real Estate Wanted" to see if there is anything there and then to advertise them google "Free Online Classified Ads". You may have some luck that way. If any of you would like to contact me to see if we could work out a real estate deal, let me know, just PM me and we'll see what we can do.

Was interested in reading your posts here. I am new to this business and have just received Dean's books. So, haven't done my first deal yet. Was born and raised and lived most of my adult life in NW Iowa (Sioux City area). Moved to Omaha, Nebraska about 12 years ago. But once a Hawkeye always a Hawkeye. If anyone has any good ideas or advice for a baby investor of 63 years (never too old to start again, right!), please let me know. In the meantime, good luck and great success to all of you!
Trying to get started
I live in rural Iowa(Clarencce) half way between cedar Rapids and the Quad cities. Would like to learn more about getting started. Have a series of books/videos that i have looked through but more confused than ever about getting started. Have been a landlord for 15 years and really thought that would help out but it is no where close to be the same thing. Interested in any suggestions that have helped others get started. a NEWBIE but need help getting deals in Council Bluffs
I am new to the site and have ordered my first book from Dean, but have been researching all I can from the web. I am looking to do wholesaling, rehabs, and trying to find the funding. I have been struggling to get financing on an REO for 18K on a 77K valued house. I must be doing something wrong. "Hard Mnoey" lenders don't want to touch anything that small (they like to start at 100K).
I live in Council Bluffs (Western Iowa) and am very excited to build something BIG! Anyone like to work with me, I'd be open to anything. I figure 50% of something is better then 100% of nothing.
