Assigning a short sale

Assigning a short sale

Can anyone help me to figure this out.
I have a new real estate agent and she sent me some new listings.
With the listings she included some short sales, how would I go about assigning a short sale, if this is even a consideration for us wholesalers.
Is it better to just get regular listings or foreclosures rather than messing around with short sales.
I'd welcome some resources to gain more knowledge with the entire subject of foreclosures and short sales as it relates to wholesaling.
All advice is appreciated.
Thank you all!
Angel.

Can't assign a short sale. You can get it under contract in an LLC, then sell the LLC

you can also double close the deal if you don't want to do that I know Matt Larson my mentor does that(i am in a mastermind with him)

which is what I was going to do on one of my deals which was an REO not a short sale but same difference. I was set to do that and you have to control the escrow company for that, ones that do that double escrows n preferaly dry double closes but mine wind up being the buyer buying the prop or closing it in my co name with his funds( a lot of trust) bc his hard money lender did not authorize double closes, so he closed it in my co name & after 2 weeks I quit claimed myself off & he paid outside of escrow.

But doing it Michael's way is cleaner I think bc most of the times you cant control the escrow co, the bank wants to do that since they have agreements with escrow companies to get discounts bc they send them multiple deals, anyways, great advice Michael, missed you at the edge this yr my friend.
