My buyers criteria are as follows: Multi-units(3or4 flats), repairs ok, 20-80k, up to 175k if it's a killer deal! Areas in the chicagoland area are as follows: Bridgeport, Armor square, university village, lincoln park(must be good numbers), wriglyville, ravenswood, roscoe village, bucktown/logan square, wicker park areas, oakpark. Indianapolis( multiunits as well). Waiting for more info from him about his criteria, but this is enough to get started I believe. Elix is of course correct in asking for proof. Plenty of people know plenty of millionaires that are buying real estate. Blah blah. Nothing at all personal in his statement, just business. Experienced investors require POF, bank statements etc. from potential buyers up front before sending deals.
I have several deals currently under contract that I would be glad to give him the opportunity to look at, however he must first provide his credentials. Nothing personal, just business. Who knows what could happen? A lifelong association? First things first however!

Also, just a quick observation Reggie,

Why would such a successful investor need to look for deals on a website that is mostly inhabited buy new investors? Why aren't you doing the work to supply him directly with your own deals? Just a couple of thought to ponder.

There was no offense taken to elix's question/request at all. I just let him know a bit about my partners credentials. I'm a serious investor as well Michael, so I would not waste my time or anyone else's time if my guy was blowing smoke.Just business!

P.S. My guy isn't on this site-he knows nothing about this site, this is MY way to reach out and see if there are others out there who'd like to work together on providing deals that I can't get my hands on. Chicago isn't my market, so connecting with investors that know the market will give me the chance to learn it a little better. Just business!

Makes total sense! Are you willing to provide buyers credentials, you did not answer that part.

DGers, don't go off in all directions sending properties or offering deals until you pre qualify the buyers ability to actually close. Do this first, before wildly chasing after a supposed buyer. Especially when there is a third party involved! Remember, treat REI like a business and you will get business like returns. Treat it like a over excited teenager and well, you know the rest.
