Courage...Get addicted to the pain! :)

Courage...Get addicted to the pain! :)

Courage is not the absence of fear, courage is the judgement that what you want is more important than your fear. Realizing the fear and acting in-spite of! Strength in the face of pain or grief.

The judgement that providing for my family was more important than my fear. The judgement that other peoples opinions of me were none of my business so who cared what they thought. The judgement that one day, I will be able to do more than just pray from someone in need, that I will be able to write a check and meet needs. The judgement that I wanted my son to start from my shoulders and propel, making choices that were right/best for him not based on what could be afforded. That I didn't want him to have to struggle as much as I did. The judgement that I wanted to impact generations before me and generations long after me. The judgement that my dream was worth it! The judgement that God did not design me to be confined to a 8x8 cubicle for the 40/40 plan. The judgement that I would live in the home that I wanted to, drive the cars I wanted to, travel to the places I wanted to. The judgement that I wanted to wake up every day and decide what I wanted to do....strictly because I wanted to do it. The judgement that freedom would be worth the price! The judgement that ME and only ME was 100% responsible for my financial future. The judgement to just believe what I heard from Dean....that yes each student has their own path and circumstances however regardless....EACH success gave me HOPE! The judgement that if I'd just trust, just DO the work, I too could have the results.

What is it that will make it worth it for you? What is it that will make you get back up again when the world has knocked you flat of your face? What is it that will allow you to keep going day after day hitting a dead end or a wall? What is it that will make you pick up the phone and make that call or answer the phone? What is it that will make you go look at that property even though it's raining, to hot, to far away from me, etc.? What is it that will get you up and out at the wee hours putting out bandit signs in the dark? What is it that will enable you to get the no's and keep fighting for the yes? What is it that will make you bounce back from a deal that has folded...again! What is it that will make you get up early, work a little harder, stay up late just to get done what you need and promised yourself you were going to get done in your RE business that day? What is it that will enable you to turn a deaf ear to all those people that mock you, all those people that laughed when you said you'd be free because of RE, all those people that said you'd never make it, all those people that ridiculed you for stepping out and doing something different? What is it that will make you stand strong and look them in the eye and "you are wrong" "watch me!" and walk away. What is it that will cost you some TV time, some play time, some luxuries temporarily, some friends you'll out grow. WHAT IS IT????????
Only YOU can answer that question.
I can tell you, it's deeper than a house, it's deeper than a car, it's deeper than just a whim "you're going to try", or even deeper than because power bill is overdue. It will soon be revealed it's deeper than just money.

Saw a post on here there other day by one of the coaches that had a comment (which now is on my wall in my office) "The key to a better future is you"
Take responsibility for your own life. No on can do it for you. Only you can change your circumstances. JUST BELIEVE and TAKE ACTION!

Pain is ONLY Temporary! Push past it! On the other side of pain is the reward!

"Winners play hurt" _ Matt Larson
"Do it with a headache" _ Dean Graziosi

Notice the trend my friends! With out the pain/struggle there would be no victory. It's THROUGH it that strengthens and prepares you for the success.
Get addicted to the pain! Smiling
Discipline = Doing what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, when we don't want to do it!

Thank you for that post

Thank you for that post about COURAGE. It's funny how things you thought would be easy were difficult and vice and versa. I just made my first (ok second, the first was at BOG which was outside my market area) call to Real Estate Agents. Initially I thought easy, but then got so nervous because I am NEW. But praise God, it wasn't bad at all. I learned a little, spoke to some nice people, and now we will see.

The biggest thing is that I took that first step! I had a list of agents and made myself call. Though I haven't closed a deal I feel like I am one step closer. I got over my some of my fear, and met it with courage. Now it is on to call potential buyers:)

Be blessed everybody and know that 'nothing is impossible with God'

Jennifer I just love your posts!

I also like the comment you posted from Matt, "Winners play hurt!" Thank you for the words of wisdom and I don't think any of us are destined to be in a cubicle! ouch, ouch, ouch, still going!!

thanks guys!

@ Pilar - It is about conquering self every single day! Great job on taking that first step. Keep going! Don't slow down now! Create that momentum! With every single challenge that we master ourselves over, we gain confidence, energy, enthusiasm, self esteem and burning desire to get that feeling again. lol That's why I said get 'addicted to the pain'. It is or at least for me....an adrenaline rush and happens to be my 'drug' of choice! lol Great job and look forward to reading about your success!

@ Tammy - Thank you! lol you made reference to 'ouch, ouch' on the comment. lol Why I reference Matt alot....I get the what I need to hear rather than just what I want to hear. Even if it stings, hurts or feels like a gut shot.....it's required. It's not cruel...but direct. Leaving no gray areas. Hard love is needed at times. I call it a little luv smack! lol
Way I see it.....go to your family/friends to have them tell ya what you want to hear, go to your mentors to hear what you NEED to in order to grow, improve and go to the next level! (Success ALWAYS leaves clues!) Great job! Keep pressing forward!

@ Karen - Thank you! Think you are pretty terrific yourself!! Hope you are doing amazing. Haven't been on as much as use to, so behind on everyone's progress. Sure you are still kicking tail and taking names! Making it happen! Smiling

God bless,
Jen
