Yoda coined two very good quotes that are very applicable to everything we do.
1) [Yoda:] "Do or do not...there is no try"
2) [Luke:] "I can’t believe it." [Yoda:] "That is why you fail.”
I have seen and heard over my years of mentoring and training people refer to their business as "I am looking to invest in {area}". Or they may say or write "I want to invest in single family residences".

Picabo Street, a downhill skier, who won World Cup and Gold medals in the Olympics, was once asked in an interview what made her so successful. She responded that she does not pack her bags. I have heard Dean Graziosi repeat something to this many times. I have heard him say that real estate is mostly mental. How true this is. If you can control your mental self you can succeed.
When you let in to doubt you become like Luke: "I can't believe it".
Even if you need to create some kind of way to fake it until you make so that you believe that you can indeed do it you should do something.
This may seem a little goofy but I currently listen to "Firework" by Katy Perry and imagine myself as the firework in the song. What do you do?

So true Nathan! When people ask me "what do you do?", I either revert back to my own day job or have real estate investor as second instead of first. I feel uncomfortable telling others, most likely because I'm afraid that I may look foolish saying that. Next time, I'll say this: I'm a real estate investor!
