I agree with you, but unfortunately, he is not the only one. There will always be people that seek to profit from those people that would like to attain a better life for themselves and their families through investing.

Maybe one day, there will be a law against such unscrupulous activity.

I have read several of his "Trump University" books and the info there is top notch stuff. If you want to know about multi family investing read Commercial Real Estate Investing 101 By David Lindahl. A Trump University Book EVERYTHING you need to know is in that book. You can buy that book today and it still says Trump University. Must be something else.

Do people take REI courses and then fail to produce, then blame the provider? OF COURSE! It happens all the time. Does CNN and the New York DA have a liberal, socialist agenda? Do they want to put a successful conservative entrepreneur down?? OF COURSE they do.

Also, Dean and Matt have met with some of the Trumps and it is my understanding that they are HIGHLY respected.

You can't believe everything you read. It is always a good idea to have a clear understanding of both sides of a story and always judge the source!

It sounds to me like someone was bashing the Donald Trump and making assumptions. I like Donald Trump and respect him. He is a business man who has had his ups and downs and he has strong family ties. I started out with Trump University and then went with Dean's Think a little differently program. Both men are in the business to make money or they would not be involved with real estate. Donald owns properties all over the world and has taught his children the business. Yes, I have a lot of respect for this man.
If people do not progress with investing it is because they do not take the actions necessary to become successful for whatever reason. I speak from experience. It is a fact. We are all individual and unique in our own way and work at our own speed. I don't know of anyone who doesn't want better for themselves and their loved ones. Everybody wants to make money and live a better life. Dean is more into teaching than Donald is. It is funny and at the same time not funny, but I was at an REI meeting this past Wednesday night and an Attorney was speaking. He really caught my attention when he started bashing guru's like Graziosi. He pointed out a guy that had put out $60k and did not get anywhere who was there. Dean is the best in my book. I still look up to Donald Trump too. It is up to me what I do with the materials from both camps. It is the students responsibility to take the action on the material provided.

To succeed in anything in life, one has to put in hard work, long hours, and in some cases, money to pay for books, courses, coaching, etc. Many people give up halfway through their journey for one reason or another, and then feel that they should be compensated for what they have already put in...

...it's so coincidental that DG today did his Weekly Wisdom on how some people tend to blame others for their misfortunes instead of admitting being part of a problem...

give up and never put to practice what they learn. It is a known fact. I am glad you reccommend his books; I may look into them. I however, do believe that there is enough evidence that he did not deliver as promised to a lot of people otherwise I do not think the attorney general of NY would be suing him. I am not saying Trump is all bad, but I think it is a real shame that he seems to have taken advantage. The jury as they say is still out. I have read some of trumps books myself. I would hope that he prevails as well. Still, I was not trusting of his "University."

I haven't attended any of Trump's seminars, but I have read a couple of his books, "Think Big" and "Art of the Deal". Think Big was pretty good, Art of the Deal was really good. It showed what can happen if you stick to your guns and won't let anyone or anything stop you.

I've been going to seminars for over twenty years. At many of them, they come right out and said that only 1-3% of the seminar participants will ever do anything with the info taught and even less will succeed.

I believe people go to seminars, maybe try to implement what they learned, for about five minutes, find out how much work is really involved and quit. After stewing for a while, or having their spouse ride them, they have to blame someone for their lack of success. So, they sue the seminar provider, saying they lied to them. I guess being a victim and filing a lawsuit is an easier way to make money than actually going out and earning it.

It takes a lot of balls to go out to pursue your dreams and even more to stick to it long enough to be successful. Most people are afraid to go to this level.
That's why 10% of the people control 90% of the money in our world. It has always been that way and will likely always be that way.

It is easier to go to work and get the secure paycheck than it is to wake up everyday and wonder if you will get a pay check this week. Winners find a way to create that pay check, losers blame everyone for their lack of fortitude to live their dreams.

I have been studying REI for a long time and continue to do so. I am always going to seminars and reading books. The market continues to change. If you want to stay up to date, or better yet, ahead of the game, you will want to continue to study your craft until you decide to give it up completely.

I don't think Trump put out his university to 'take advantage' of people; however, I do believe that if there was no profit for him to make, he would have never done it... anyone who thinks that gurus are out there selling their products out of the goodness of their hearts, and that everyone who signs up will become a millionaire... well, they shouldn't buy or join...

Also on the "University" in the name. Anyone with any common sense would know that "Trump University" was just a name/branding, we know his training is not a real accredited state sponsored four year University. Some cry baby just tried to make trouble.

People say Dean's stuff does not work and they say the same type things about him. I have heard and seen this first hand. Yet we all know Dean is the real deal! So is the Donald!
