now that you say that, I notice it isn't there today. I do see you can see which topics you recently participated in though. I hope they didn't do away with it. Maybe just the tweaking they are doing on the two sites. If it was accidentally dropped and they didn't notice, hopefully this will bring it to their attention.

When you go to your profile page (or anyone else's) across the to where the "Edit" buttons, "Your Classified Ads", etc, there was a button that said "Track". When you clicked on it, it showed every thread that you have ever posted on so that you can keep up with it if there are new posts.
Also, if there is someone whose postings you find valuable, you can go to their page and click on their track to read posts where they have been active. It is VERY useful!

It only shows the last few that you have participated in. That is nothing for people like us who are very active here!

as a side note did anyone notice they removed the qoute the author button?
i enjoyed this feature when reading threw threads previously posted.... maybe removing this feature will help free up cluster from the servers that manage DG. com

That is what I am hoping is happening. I know that they are working hard and that sometimes things may just slip through the cracks. That was why I posted this thread, I know they can't think of everything. Some things are not obvious until it is all back in action.

I've noticed the track button and other things missing intermittently since I've been back the last few weeks. I just attributed it to the updates and since it was sporadic, I didn't panic. I think we need to calm down and remember this is a free site and lighten up with the entitlement mentality. No offense (I'm sure some will take offense, but that's not my intention), but it's getting a tad bit annoying. Sorry.

I DID NOT panic and I am perfectly calm. I also DO NOT have entitlement mentality. Offense HAS been taken over your post!
I brought it to their attention because I did not know if they are aware as to how much those buttons are used.
I know that they are working hard to better the site and I appreciate that. I also know that often input is appreciated because one or two people (the techs) cannot always think of every little angle.
And as far as people saying they are "Sorry" when they really aren't, I find that MORE than a tad bit annoying!

thank you Karen for noticing the missing buttons; as you say, with the updates and all, sometimes things can fall between the cracks, and if no one points it out, they can be gone forever.

I am sorry to hear that the track buttons were lost and very happy to see you got them back again. I agree that sometimes the DG site tech folks need to know what we look for when we are here. I am very much looking forward to when they finish sprucing up this site. I can hardly wait to explore all the new stuff. I am going to be like a kid at Christmas time.
