Welcome to the DG family. I've only been a member myself for a month or so. About suggestions fo rthis area, I can't really be too specific. I'm still reading, learning, and trying to get everything in position. How did you get involved with DG (i.e., his infomercial, books, Set For Life System)?

Kevin! Thanks for your fast response Well, one night last month I couldn't sleep and found Dean's infomercial on tv and couldn't take my eyes off it. I knew this was IT for me! I've never felt more sure about anything... well, at least in a while. So, I ordered his book, PFRERN, and got the BARM for free (just shipping) and the AFF program. In my package came a dvd talking about their RESA (Real Estate Success Academy) and I called and got into *that* and am now trying to do the lessons. Good to hear from you and take care! Talk soon!

P.S. How about you? I've been reading about people involved in the SFL but don't know what that is. I wonder if I shouldn't have gotten into that instead... I don't know, but we'll see!

My name is Stuart from Portland OR and I would love to live in the Mesa area someday as I have some family there and would really like to get out of the rain during the winters. I hope to network with a bunch of people in the Phoenix area so that I can facilitate some deals down there sooner than later.

Hi Lisa,

SFL stands for the Set For Life system that was recently offered by Dean to the DG Family. It is supposed to be offered to the general public to, but at a higher price than for what people here (including myself) purchased it for. Even if you did not get in on this opportunity, there will always be others, including the RESA!

That's great that you're in the Academy since you will always have someone to be answerable to. I cannot afford to get into the RESA at this time and may after I start making a few bucks on the side with my own attempts here. At least I still have myself and my goals to be answerable to!

I also have PRFERN and BARM. Read the former and working on the latter while trying to still get set up. This is all taking longer than I thought, but I know it will be worth it!

Complete night owl here! lol. Yea, I didn't notice your message till just now I've been sleeping most of the day, and now I'm looking up these two houses I'm interested in. One is in a gorgeous city in Arizona, and another is in California. The AZ one is BEAUTIFUL!! I was there in July when my family was here visiting, and we happened to drive by it and I said STOP! I want to go in and see it (it was an open house). I swear, I was so absolutely enamored with this house! I walked around like I knew what I was doing, but boy was I intimidated LOL. This was before I *ever* even considered investing. I mean, I was like, no way am I ever going to be able to own a house like this haha. Maybe that was a prophetic experience?? Anyway, this house was listed at $850k back then, and the Realtor told me it wasn't worth more than $750k!! lol he just came out and told me this. Well, I just happened to find the flier for it today so I went online and looked it up. It's still listed with the same Realtor, only now it's going for $819k! I wonder what I should do about it. I've got to do *something* or I'll kick myself!

The other house is going to a Short Sale on the 15th of this month, and these people are friends of mine so I called her about it and am waiting to hear back from her. I'm not sure what I'm going to say, cuz I'm not sure what I can do for her. I'm still so green, ya know? Got any ideas on either of these? Let me know, and maybe we can do something together with them. What say ye?

u can do it ask them wht is the lowest he will go and then work the # to see wht u want to get pay JUST ASK HIM,THEN RUN AN AD IN PAPER ECT.A BUYER WILL CALL,ASK IF THEY R A CASH BUYER IF SO THEY GO AT THE TOP OF THE LIST AN DO MORE RESEARCH LOCK IT UP GET PAY FOR BRING THEM TOGETHER.HOPE THIS HELP HAVE FUN!!

I am writing you because I was really into investing and pretty much still know everything I knew up
untill summer 09 when my investing bubble pretty much got burst because of HORRIBLE economy
and SOOOO many people going homeless. I know the obvious thing to do is watch the new vlogs
but I need some encouragement because since summer 09 I was living with a VERY (-) person
that kept her tv on the news about RE. Can you please tell me what (+)s and (-)s have become of
RE investing since the last vlog I watched was when Dean gave the 50 (+)s assignment?
(I'm just full of excuses arent't I?)

P.S. I no longer have transportation and my motivation is now desperation because I cannot make more than
$318 mo since I am disabled and would not be able to afford to lose my disability (which I do want to
relieve my burdon from society and feel building wealth slowly and consistently would bring much comfort)
, would working for current RE investors (doing easy/odd jobs) in my area help me to learn the market faster
since I no longer have a vehicle and I am also 900 miles away from where I spent the 1st 1/2 of my life?
From Louisville to Daytona is a big jump, Louisville which is much bigger is more segregated and Daytona
is just a mix here and a mix there, I'm not trying to racist at all that's just one more change I have that to
contend with too. I also filed Ch 13 bankruptcy last year, are there still hard money lenders out there?

I came across your post in Karen's journal. I must say, while I always like to drop in on Karen, the reason I did this time is I saw "smurfy" was posting. I had to check it out. My husband and I LOVE the Smurfs! Ha!

Know this isn't much of an RE post, but wanted to welcome you! I'm just catching up a bit here the past couple months as it looks like you joined right after we had our first baby and I fell off here awhile. But I've been back and in action the past couple months.

I'm also in the Success Academy, and I bought the SFL too.
The Success Academy is definitely the way to go when you start-I have not used the SFL much; I think it's more for the more experienced investor...
