How bad do you want this?

I often hear from many studnets that they want success so bad in real estate. They need to make it happen and are willing to do whatever it takes. Where does your desire fall in relationship to your current real estate efforts?

Does your DESIRE match your EFFORT and ACTION?

How bad do you want this? Just this past week, I was in Las Vegas and I was working with a great group of students. We were out looking at some houses on a sunny and HOT Las Vegas day. No, it was not a gamble looking for a great deal, we did some home work along the way to navigate those bad deal waters to sift, sort and screen our way through listing after listing.

Over the years many studnets have asked me for any golden nuggets or secrets I could share to help them along the way of their real estate adventure. I really believe it comes down to - How bad do you want this? Are YOU willing to do that of which most others are NOT willing to do. You probably already know if you have to do things but are you actually doing them?

Some people will do the things that others will not do and they will have success. Sometimes there is a secret sauce to success and sometimes the secret sauce is already bottled within you. To find it, it may be called HARD WORK. It also can be called doing things that are OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!

You probably already know what you need to do and it is just a question of just doing it. You need GREAT DEALS and you probably need some CASH BUYERS too! It is time for you to make that list. Grab a piece of paper right now and start writing......................

You know you need to build your Buyers List - JUST DO IT!
You know you need to work on finding more great deals - JUST DO IT!
You know you have to do bandit signs - JUST DO IT!

Are you willing to do the things others are not? You may say it is hard and I do get that. However, I believe it is harder to get up every Monday and go to work for a job you may not really like! How bad do you want this? You can make a change. You can make it happen. It all starts with taking action each and every day!

Go make everyday count by doing at least one thing each day. You will the be doing things that others are not doing. In the near future, you might even be doing things that others only dream about doing. You can make it happen by taking action. How bad do you want this?

Go get what they want...
Get paid...

Yes everyone should read all Deans books, he teaches us how to find buyers and how to find the deals they want, we just have to learn by reading then DOING it...

just like a motivated seller...

you have to be a motivated investor to achieve success. You must have a compelling reason to WHY you want to do this. If your WHY is not strong enough that it makes you hurt, it's more of a wish, and you will be less likely to make your success happen.

Inspiring

This is a great post. Very inspiring. I copied and pasted it into a document, printed it, and put it in the folder that has "My Big Whys", my "7 Levels Deep" exercise, and my Motivational sheet filled with affirmations.

I also like the comment by aaron-n-suzy about not making things too complicated. I tend to over analyze and over plan. I have been asking myself, what are the main questions to be answered to be a real estate wholesaler? Then, I was going to put each question on a sheet. Then, I was going to review much of the educational materials, to start filling each of the question sheets with answers.

From aaron-n-suzy's comment, the questions jump right out at me, and there are only 3. How do I find buyers? How do I find the properties they want? How do I get paid?

Also, there is no reason for me to make this harder than it is. Instead of spending days or even weeks reading and coming up with answers to these 3 questions, I should just start with one of them: How do I find buyers?

And, instead of spending a lot of time trying to come up with all of the ways to find buyers, I should pick a few of the best ways, and get busy doing them. Then, I will cross a critical threshold, from planning to be in this business, to actually being in this business. That will be an exciting step to take!


and it's not just picking the three best ways to do any one

thing. It is using all the means you know to get what you need according to Jared on IE. Meaning if you need buyers, you don't just say on CL, REi club members and bandits signs are the only thing I will do to get buyers. No! You also hand out cards, tell everyone you know what you do, network with people online, and a whole host of others ways to find buyers. This is also true to Market properties, find sellers, network, find contractors and any other thing you need.
