OfflineHello all I have to say, one thing that really motivates me is after I deal with negative people..I don't understand why people have to be so negative!? I have a relative who saw my website the other day and basically told me "the real estate market is horrible, why are you wasting your time chasing dreams out of your reach," and then she said , (this is the best) "you need to have 10's of thousands if not 100's of thousands of dollars to invest in real estate"...So I asked her...other than your own house..have you ever invested in real estate?...and she said no..then I asked her how do you know that you need 10's even 100's of thousands of dollars to invest in real estate?? and she couldn't answer me. so I finally told her that I didn't want to talk about it, basically mind your own business. Its is simple as that!!
I guess the point I am trying to make here is that I get so fired up to go out and make deals after dealing with negative people. Sometimes it seems like if someone is not successful...they don't want anyone to be successfull!...So I stay away from all of them!!
What doesn't kill me,,makes me stronger!

They sometimes can be the worse! I thought you handled the objection rather well, don't you? You didn't allow her to break your spirit! This was a great test. I have always felt if I could master a technique to handle my family. Then my oh my, the rest of the world is a piece of cake! Your right, most of the critism come from people who where afaid to dream. And dream Big. Your photo shows you have all you need in your arms to think beyond what other peoples opinons are for you. I have a family full of negative people. They object to most things positive. My sister is the only one who supports me on this endeavor. I believe that there is enough room at the top for all of us!
Keep the faith and good things will happen. Look at all the great positive members on the DG website. We all believe and we all will achieve! Financial freedom is there for the taking. If these people give you a passion to succeed then their thoughts can help drive you to the next deal. After you have some success these same people may ask for your help in then getting started. Good luck with REI. Believe and Achieve!

The people that are very close to you can sometimes be the most negative. They are afriad you will not make it, and will fail, and they are just not educated about what it is you are actually doing. Let it motivate you even more! Just work harder to prove them wrong and have them on board with you!

Good job on ignoring the negative. That's about all you can do with the naysayers. Stay positive. I love how you used the negative energy to fuel your drive!!
A lot of negative people have adopted that view of life, no matter what the subject. They have set themselves up for failure. Which is why if they DID try Real Estate Investing with that mindset, they probably WOULD fail. That is why it is so important for us to share our successes and for Dean to KEEP ON reiterating what he says in his shows. Sometimes people need to hear something a hundred times before they'll believe it. And even then some will choose not to. It is more "comfortable" to stay where they are.
SO, keep pushing forward! If you decide you will make it, YOU WILL!
