Good Evening DG Members,
We are all on a level playing field and we all have the same time clock which is set at 525,600! The one thing that money can't buy is more than 24 hours in a day or more than 525,600 minutes in a year (unless it is a leap year at 527,040 minutes) There is not a time clock in baseball, but in most other sports, the players and fans may be watching the clock as time "ticks and "ticks" away.
How do we utilize those minutes? How many minutes do we want to be in the game? On the field or in the stands? The choices we make our up to us and we control our time and our destiny. We all know now is the time to become active real estate investors. We all have the same time and we all have the knowledge thanks to Dean's books and programs!
Every team has their fans and their hecklers (or naysayers). Do we hear the cheers of our fans or fear the jeers (of the naysayers)? Our "WHY" in life for pursuing this dream is all the cheerleading we need! Dean is our Coach and has given us the training, tools and inspiration! Our coach had been there before and is a champion! Now he is trying to get us in the game to champion real estate investing!
We should have that positive attitude each and every day that we are ready. Are you ready for the day? Ready for the next challenge and most importantly ready for that next deal! Today is that day!
Think of that 1985 John C. Fogerty song "Centerfield". it goes like this....
"Oh, put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today;
Put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today;
Look at me, I can be Centerfield."
We have the ability! Dean has given us the knowledge! The Time is Now! Are you ready to "PLAY BALL"! Let's get into the game before we spot Don Henley in the stands singing that familiar 1984 end of summer tune (The Boys of Summer)...
"...Nobody on the road
Nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air
The summers out of reach
Empty lake,
Empty streets
The sun goes down alone..."
There is no time clock in this game of real estate investing but we need good time manangement! Good luck on all your deals! Believe and Achieve! - Joe

Joe your are so right. Time is of the essence. I realize that everyday we wake up we are given the opportunity to make the best of it. And this is the attitude we have to take. We have to put our entire self in the game. Get off the side lines thinking that you can't and start saying to yourself than you can. Yes I Can!!! I refuse to look back at this amazing opportnity that will only come once in my life time and say I should of or could of or even worse push to the blame on someone else for my failures. NO WAY! Not this time. I must Stand Up and Run as fast as I can with this. Talk it, walk it. What ever you call it, but just DO IT. It's the right time, and the right place... I'm taking Action and Control of Me!!! Continued success.........Lubertha

Thanks for your comments and the insight. We all are part of the "game of Life" and each of our minutes are valuable playing time that can make a difference each and every day.
I really enjoy watching sports, but I know have valuable each minute of the day truly is. As Dean has stated, once you decide on doing one thing you are deciding to not do something else in return. In accounting Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) refers to it as "the Cost vs. the Benefit Rule". You should make sure the benefit outweighs the cost involved.
Thus, with real estate it is important to have that work life balance but also remember the cost vs. benefit of the way you allocate your time for a day, week, month or even a year. Continued success on all your deals. Believe and Achieve! - Joe

Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen
I had a friend was a big baseball player
back in high school
He could throw that speedball by you
Make you look like a fool boy
Saw him the other night at this roadside bar
I was walking in, he was walking out
We went back inside sat down had a few drinks
but all he kept talking about was
Chorus:
Glory days well they'll pass you by
Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye
Glory days, glory days
Well there's a girl that lives up the block
back in school she could turn all the boy's heads
Sometimes on a Friday I'll stop by
and have a few drinks after she put her kids to bed
Her and her husband Bobby well they split up
I guess it's two years gone by now
We just sit around talking about the old times,
she says when she feels like crying
she starts laughing thinking about
Chorus
Now I think I'm going down to the well tonight
and I'm going to drink till I get my fill
And I hope when I get old I don't sit around thinking about it
but I probably will
Yeah, just sitting back trying to recapture
a little of the glory of, well time slips away
and leaves you with nothing mister but
boring stories of glory days
I am not going to let my time slip away! Lets make some read real estate stories we can look back on!!
Jeremy
This train, Dreams will not be thwarted
This train, Faith will be rewarded
Big wheel roll through fields where sunlight streams
Meet me in the Land Of Hope And Dreams

Thanks for sharing your comments and tips for additional minutes in daily time management. It is like the saying "no pain, no gain". Thus, the people that go the extra mile will end up farther than those that do not.
We can accomplish more in a day when we know where or time goes. Most people budget their money and people should also budget their time because it can strech farther. Good luck on all your deals! Believe and Achieve! - Joe

Another excellent post!
I really like the way your mind works, you are constantly giving creative ways to look at REI while challenging us to think creatively ourselves. I love the fact that the comparison is a game.
How else in life can you become extremely successful while helping people and having so much fun?
Keep the creative ideas and motivation coming Joe!
