Remember DG Members.....that every Saturday night is New Year's Eve!

Remember DG Members.....that every Saturday night is New Year's Eve!.....Party?....No, let's plan for potential profit!

We do not have to throw a big party, but we can reward ourselves for a great week of work and effort! This can be getting our favorite meal such as a Pizza, soda and ice cream for dessert. I believe it is very beneficial to reflect on our prior week's activities to determine what we have done and what we have yet to do. Once you reflect to determine your week ahead do not dwell on the past. Remember the past is the past but the future is up to you!

In everyone's life things come up, problems come up, delays, distractions, etc. That's part of life...right? Some of these "things" are out of our control so we should not stress out over them. You may become frustrated some weeks because you did not even accomplish half of the items from your To do's list, goals list or action plan.

HEY! That's ok! Did you get at least one thing accomplished? Great! Then this week try to get at least 2 to 3 things more accomplished. You should consider every end of the week (Saturday Night)a time to reflect and plan for the week ahead. Sunday is a new day, a new week and a fresh start! Don't look behind you or in the past, because you may miss what's coming ahead.

Whooooosh!!! There goes 2 potential deals! Did you see them or were you thinking about what you did not do last week???

So, let's clear the plate this Saturday night and start fresh on this Sunday and every Sunday! You can do it! As Dean would say, achieve one plateau of success at a time! Let's Go! Believe and Achieve! Smiling - Joe

Great Reminder!

I agree with Indiana Joe. It is much easier to point out our faults and negatives than to give ourselves a pat on the back. Keep your mind focused on the prize and reward yourself every time you take action. Even if you think it is not significant, like reading this thread. Every little bit deserves a pizza party!

Matt takes a 100 listings that his agent Star sends him and narrows it down to 25, makes the 25 offers verbally or via email and out of those offers 1 or 2 get accepted. His offers are at 30% to 50% off the asking price.

Thanks Indiana-Joe

I read somewhere that you have to have a balance of work and celebration to obtain your goals and I remember it was refering especifically to put money away. The advise you always hear is save money to invest which is a good advice but on the other hand you also should put some money away to blow away and what I mean is to use it to celebrate your achievements, your lessons learn and use that money on something that will makes you feel good like maybe a "pizza party" or a get away with your family for the weekend, or go to a really nice restaurant or whatever makes you feel good and obvioulsy will make you keep going towards you goal.
Sometimes we forget to have fun and enjoy the ride and this kind of post are good to cheer us up and continue our journey.
Once again Thank you Indiana-Joe.
Daniel

Gayle,

Congratulations on taking action. You can do it! Even Dorothy had to believe! Altcamel explaions the 25:1 formula. The only other thing is hoems that are targeted might be on the market for more than 90 days. You are looking for motivated sellers and the formula helps to narrow them down. Good luck with real estate investing. Believe and Achieve! Smiling - Joe

Daniel,

Thanks for the additional insight and comments. It is true that we also have to "make time and smell the roses". We are determined to succeed with real estate and have to have fun along the way. So a nice weekend, or a night out, is a great way to celebrate our plateaus of success and recharge for the next challenge. I like the following qoute:

the right forms

I get so concerned that I won't have the right paper work that I end up not doing anything, I don't want to get burned. Can't afford it. I am down to bedrock now.. I guess I will just have to jump in with both feet and see what happens. Any advice for a scardy cat????

lrodden,

You may want to join a local investment club and network with other investors in your local area. You may be able to find another investor that you can partner with on a deal. Once you do one deal your confidence will increase from there.

Also, try to walk through doing a potential deal form start to finish on paper and note each of the steps, almost like an example or a practice run. Then when you find a deal you will know what to expect and be more comfortable with the process. I hope this helps. Good luck with real estate investing. Believe and Achieve! Smiling - Joe
