small victories win BIG Battles

small victories win BIG Battles

Tomas and I have been at the EDGE event this weekend. What an AMAZING event! Thank you, Dean!

One thing I have learned as a 'sales person,' is that you MUST celebrate the small victories. Especially, if you are just getting started! Everything you do as a salesperson should be measured by your activity.
For example: Matt Larson gave us the rule of thumb 25:1. You have to make 25 offers to get 1 contract. If you are getting more, than your prices are too high. If you are not getting 1 out of 25, then your prices are too low.

So, in order to get where you want to go, you must have a plan and back in the activity to match that plan, and celebrate your victories. If you want to get 1 contract per month, then you know you need to submit at least 25 offers or 6-7 offers per week or simply 1 offer per day. Once you submit your 7th offer, celebrate because you are one week closer to getting your deal! If I want to do 20 deals per month, then I know we need to be submitting 125 offers per week and 25 offers per day! The sky is the limit!

Another way to look at this in terms of $DOLLARS$: If you need (or want) $20,000/month and your average deal is $10,000/deal. You need at least two deals every per month, correct? Did I do the math right? Therefore, you need to be putting in at least 12-13 offers per week, average of 2 offers per day and celebrate when you get that 13th offer submitted! If you have a little extra time, put in 1-3 more!

You have to celebrate your activities. It is critical to your success, especially in the beginning. You keep hearing no, no, no. Just remember, on average, it is going to take you 24 NO's to get to a YES!!! So, the more no's you get through, you are coming up on your next Yes!

Some of us celebrate with dinners or ice cream. Some of us celebrate with a day off from our J-O-B's. I have just learned this weekend, that some celebrate by buying custom made watches and lamborgini's!!! Holy Crap, I can't even spell that!

Some people come from very humble beginnings. Everyone has a story. My only advise: stay true to yourself, help others, and pick up the phone when you are down! It helps with your bounce-back factor! And don't forget to celebrate your small victories with your loved ones. These small vitories will help you win the BIG Battle and put you on stage with Dean, Greg, Scott, Ali, Matt, and all the others who spoke this weekend.

Hope this helps!
