OfflineSome of you may already know this , but here is a great , quick way to get a list of Vacant Homes anywhere in USA.
What you do is go to www.melissadata.com then click on to Mailing List,after that some online lists will come up, you want to click on Property Owners,then click Purchase List Now,then in #1 Put in whatever Zip Code you want to run, then click on Add Selections, then go to Step # 2 check from Property type (Single Family) or whichever one applies to you.then go to Absentee Owner check ALL 4 of those!!Then go to Property Value , example ($70,000-$80,000),Then go to Property Desp, put in Sq ft example (900-1200) I leave the rest blank.
Then at the bottom click on Update Counts, after that at the bottom it will give you your zip code and how many homes came up, then click on the word NEXT STEP, this is the page you pay for it , with me I got 309 homes , and this was a small area, it cost me $50.00, they then send it either by Excel or 3 other Formats which works best for you. Then get your list and send them letters.

So, sorry for my lack of knowledge on this... but I'm guessing that this is a list of Owners that do NOT occpy the property, and the properties are empty? I did a search in my County and there were 1700 properties!! They want $260 for this list, so I'll have to maybe narrow this down a bit to make it a little less spendy.
I can see where this would be a great resource for Homeowners looking to get rid of their un-used properties!! Thanks for this info.

Yes, that is exactly what it is. Yes, try to narrow down what you are really looking for and will bring that price down. What you do, if you are wholesaling, just find out what area your buyer wants and what he or she wants and put that information in.

I noticed that this type of list is updated every quarter, so next week, being the beginning of July, might bring a fresher list?
Searched under my zip code, only 3 properties for $50, under my county, 3400+ properties for $540.
Bookmarked this, will definitely come in handy down the road.
