Is it advisable to attend the same rei club regularly after the first meeting?

So maybe this is how they cover their dues for membership while socializing over lunch. We just pay dues of $100 dollars per year to meet once a month. I know a group in Atlanta that only charges $100 per year as well, but it varies by area.

Since you all meet once a week, that is great, but sounds like it can be quite expensive to attend. I would recommend going as often as you can afford lunch if they allow that, or just finding another REI club. Perhaps in Miami this is considered affordable though. Just look around and see.

I appreciate your advice. I will continue to go as soon as I start my new job in the next 2 weeks. Meanwhile, I texted my two buyers earlier today an here is what I told them below

Hi (buyer name), this is (my name) from (rei club name). I wanted to let you know that I don't have a deal for you right now, but you should let me know if you have any new interests or criteria, since I'm still out there looking.

I did some research on other rei clubs in my local area and I found a bunch of them. I plan on taking note on the meeting dates on my calendar, that way I don't forget. Also I intend to contact each of them and ask if they can waive the fee for a first time visitor.

You're definitely right and you couldn't have it said any much better. For the past 1 year I have been battling with this "fear of unknown" failing not to attend a rei club. I had to think of my "WHY" and I'm glad I finally was able to overcome that fear. Like Carol always say "We got to do it with Fear."

TC thanks for posting this..... I am not sure what to expect when going there and especially the frequency (as a new investor) and fear holds a lot of us back, however like you mentioned it is good to rely on our Why......

I often find the first meeting is free, so this may be the case. Just call someone up and ask if you can attend a meeting before deciding to join.

Hey TC, like Tammy stated above maybe thats how that REI club covers their monthly cover. If theres a lot of members at that club I would say its worth it. I'm apart of a REI club in Connecticut and have been for the past 3 years, its the biggest REI Club in CT, I pay $180 a year. Its worth every penny. All the buyers, realtors and wholesalers I have met, not to mention I'm around like minded people for 3 hours once a month and we all exchange our contact info. If you want to be a real estate investor go network with like minded people, you might meet a parter or a private money lender. Every time I leave my meetings I leave with a boost of energy and ready to take on the world.

Not only do you network with like minded people. It helps you with contacts, like realtors, CPA's, buyers, title companies, contractors. It is much more than what you see on the surface and definitely worth every penny. It is one of the Cost of doing business so to speak.

I go to two clubs, on club charges $20/- per attendance, but I paid them a yearly fee of $150/- and any workshop for fee, theme members get a discount.

The other club I go charges $5/- but the parking fees are $13/-.
Since both these are monthly minutes it does not pinch.

If the club you are going is providing you with exceptional training and you cannot do without going this club, do it twice a month.

No clubs are free of cost, either there is yearly or per visit fee. You should do what is comfortable for you monetarily at this point in time.

Or join a club which holds meeting once a month.
