Please don't sell yourself short. From where I sit, you get an A+! You are right. The small steps are very important, as they turn into big steps.

I feel as though I have not really been on track lately, and reading your posts and journal helps keep me motivated. In keeping this short; I ditto every thing SteevOh says above in Post #26. I'll be along for the ride on your coat tails, too!

Congrats on your talk with your parents. Just reading into what you wrote, it seems that it was something weighing on your mind.

Now that I have done my lines for the day:

1) Find AZ real estate attorney(s) who can review contracts and certify their legality.

I want to do this because it is one of the biggest things stopping me. I wan to know that these documents will be accepted and I won't lose a deal for something as dumb as this. Anyone who happens upon this, especially if you are in or have dealt with AZ attorneys, let me know if you have advice!

TIME TO REGAIN FOCUS!!

My parents thought s on my actions were definitely on my mind, as they always are, although I know I need even more to just concern myself with what I need to do for me (and by extension my wife and my "family" when she and I get that far!)

I appreciate what you've said. I am doing what I can; I have definitely been off track and even been a bit down about it, but not OUT! I have some other things that I must mark as priorities; getting your life details in order so you can keep them in check and they won't interfere with your business time is critical. In fact...

1) Get some life details in order to keep them in check so their interference in with my time for my business will be MINIMAL and I can stay FOCUSED on my daily/weekly real estate goals!!!

2) Work on finding AZ real estate attorney(s) who can review contracts and certify their legality

a) Make a list of attorney offices
b) develop short letter explaining what I am looking for from a willing RE
attorney
c) Fax letter to RE attorney offices

3) Prepare maps and business cards I need for all the meetings I am attending next
week!

a) To anyone in AZ, the AZREIA meeting is next Monday!!

It is, and I plan on being there, for sure!

Don't be down on yourself, just keep plugging away! I've got a RE Agent contacting me wanting to help me with my investing, so I'm excited, and also, scared of what to say to him when we finally have our phone conversation. I really need an infusion of CONFIDENCE!! Whew, it's gonna happen, isn't it? I have to get into the proper mindset and be ready... Deep breaths, DEEP BREATHS!!

Hi Kevin, glad you are doing as well as you are. I have been at this for about 7 months but have not gotten any deals done yet. I believe it is because the area I live in is pretty dead. I talked to a RE agent here and she said it is steady but as far as quick sales go, not happening. I live in SE Iowa all the action is in Des Moines.

I saw you are from Phoenix, I just started a partnership with a guy down there and we are trying to wholesale some properties together there and in S. Cal. Are you interested in buying anything there? Please let me know. I tried to PM you but the website said you didn't exist. Hope to hear from you soon.

I was very happy to network with as many people as I did at last night's AZREIA meeting. I even ran into several people on this site. So I appear to have gone AWOL! There is just so much to do and yes I got overwhelmed, still do, but I am chipping away at the tasks I assign myself. I will start putting them here again, because I think I did a better job of pursuing my goals when I wrote out my step lists here. To know I will still have support here is a wonderful thing.
