Need a Mentor before my wife files for divorce.

Need a Mentor before my wife files for divorce.

Ok, I really need a Mentor to help me with Assignments. My wife litterally wants me to move out of the house because I have not found a regular job and Do Not have any regular income coming in. So I really need a Mentor to help me get started and literally hold my hand. Long term I want to build a portfolio of rental properties for passive income and also do buy and flip properties for cash. But what I really need today is to do assignments for cash ASAP. So I'm asking would someone please take me under their wing and help me through the first couple of deals. Remember good deads done do get great rewards.

Steve, I'm definitely not

Steve,

I'm definitely not in a position to be a personal mentor. Perhaps if you continue posting here, we could be a mentor-by-committee.

Your profile is blank at the moment. What is your current experience with real estate? Do you have a buyer's list, seller's list, etc?

If we're to help as a group, I think that we need more information on where to start.

Thanks.

Hi Steve, I was reading your post and had a thought. You know the type of people who can help you are probably pretty busy doing there own deals, that's how they got where they are. Since time is so valuable to all of us, especially to successful people, why not sweeten the pot by offering to share some of your profits with the person(s) who, "Takes you under their wing", to acquire your first couple of deals or until you feel comfortable. You know the old saying, "Some of the pie is better than none".

Just a thought...

Best of luck to you.

John

Steve, It might be in your

Steve,

It might be in your best interest to find a part time job while you build your Real Estate business. It will keep your wife happy, your stress level down, and provide you with money to work with. The only downside to working part time is taking time from your REI business. But if there's a will, there's a way. Just make time out each morning/night to work on your business.

From a realistic standpoint, starting with nothing, if you're lucky, it might take you 6 months before you can actually live off your business. I'm guessing most people here waited 1-2 years before quitting their job. Of course there are the lucky few who struck gold right away. But it takes time to build up your power team and network of contacts.

Like Chris said, this website is your best tool for a free network of mentors.

Here is a link to a report I wrote back in November 2010: http://www.deangraziosi.com/real-estate-forums/everything-else/63961/dom...

Hope that provides you with some inspiration and information about getting started!
