OfflineHey everyone, just getting back to the pc from our REI meeting today. For those that don't know we are the tri state inverstors group, and our group name is ANSUN Aint No Stoppin Us Now! Today members of our group met up at a mall in Brooklyn, there were 9 of us, some from Westchester, Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, CT, some traveling 3 hours just to meet! It is amazing how we were all strangers that met on the internet, right here on Dean's site and we all are coming together as one! I am sooooooo happy we got to meet up today, there were some great idea's put on the table.
It was wonderful meeting all of you and finally putting faces to the names. Special thanks to Yuri for starting the emailing list and helping arrange the meeting. I am very happy that we are moving ahead together as a group and going to be investing together. I really liked Yuri's LLC idea and he has my vote! Can't wait for our next meeting!!!!! Hope all of you guys got home safe, let me know what you thought of the meeting and your decisions of what is next for us. = )

I'm new to this subject of rei groups. Any tips as to how you started yours?
I started a group page in the group section. It took some time, we have 60 members in our group on the site, not everyone is active. But after a while, everyone agreed we needed to meet up. Yuri and AngelaK started the idea to have an email list, we all began emailing about 2 weeks ago, and we got together today! It is just great. Where do you live, are you in the tri state area?

Congratulations on starting your REI Group. There is defintely power in numbers and sharing of knowledge. This is a great idea and it sounds like it will pay great dividends for all your members. I for one loved our meeting!
We have all been on site here for quite some time and the ACTION phase is where we are all at, long overdue actually and we are ready to make a move - my expectations for our next meeting are really high!
I met wonderful people on this site today with whom we share many of the same goals. Here's to us moving forward and posting all about it on this site!

The meeting went great...Like you said, names to faces def helped...Puts more pressure on me(or maybe I do it to myself) to make things happen...So that is good...it will help to push me even more...I too, have high expectations for our next meeting...I am also going to talk with chris today little later, and gets his feelings on the LLC...I do know he wanted to make it, but unfortunately couldn't cause of a dance recital he had to be at...I pretty much know what he is going to say, but gotta talk to him anyways...Nice meeting all of you, and can't wait till the next one.
