Sales license (currently inactive) and a serious desire to learn and succeed! They hold meetings on the second Monday of each month at The Celebrity Theatre, 440 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix. There's a fee to attend for non-members, which can be discounted by pre-registering on their site.

NIck, I sent you a PM, but should probably share a little about me here in this thread as well. I've lived in Central Phoenix since I was 3 years old (37 yrs. now) and have a mediocre real estate background...having worked for a commercial brokerage a number of years ago, as well as recently having obtained my sales license. As I said, I'm not sure what I could offer such a team right off the bat, but hey...you never know! I can definitely offer my time (being that I have much more of it than I'd care to admit, LOL!) and my desire to learn and achieve. I'm just one of those people who wants to be confident I know what I'm doing before endeavoring. I'd much rather learn from mistakes others have made before learning from new ones of my own...ya know?

Welcome to the thread. We definately want to build a solid group that can help all of us. Four of us have already had a formal meeting and we will be expanding on this over time. You can always speak with me, paramount (Craig) or nzamucen (Nick), so just keep yourself involved!

Congratulations on your first little boy... Kids will defnately point you toward your goals a lot quicker!! lol

Hi "Az Edge" group,

I've been reading the posts for AZ... Nick mentioned he couldnt find an investment group and someone posted the link to "AZREIA" It is a great Real Estate Investors club. Alan Langston is the Exc Director, and he's grown this club to; I believe, over 2K + members. They offer tons of networking and educational opportunities, with guest speakers frequently. The club has won several awards over the years including "BEST REI " in the country. (No, I'm not on the payroll ) There is also an off shoot club called "Phoenix Real Estate Club -PREC" It's smaller size although I've not attended this group -but know that both are very good.

I'm in the West Valley and a "Realtor" for the last 5 yrs, although not currently active with any clients.

I think we are all going to have to check this out. I know ultimately we want to have a smaller, DG based, group, but I think AZREI would be a great start to learn.

Hey Robert how's things going. I figured I would send you a message, my days have been slammed and have been meening to call you, but by the time I remember it 10:00pm.

Nick and I have been meeting and checking out properties to team up on, haven't found the right ones yet. I'm patient, I understand the numbers have to make sense to be a good deal. Keep pounding the grind stone, get a little capital built up and we can all get together and make some money.

Hello all in AZ. I, like many here, am looking for people to network with. I have been at this semi-actively for almost a year now and have not gotten very far. I am in the process of building a buyers list and actively looking for properties. I live in the far east valley "AJ" and work in Tempe so I can usually cover a big chunk of the east valley.

Hi everyone. I gotta tell you that I'm kind of embarrassed to even ask to sit in with your group. Sounds like there's a few heavy hitters and guys with real estate licenses that are doing great investor business already.
I'm new to this whole idea but I don't care about that and am going to find a way to make this work for me. I've read Deans book and am taking action, just don't know if it's the right action or not.

You guys that have all the experience and knowledge, would you mind if I came to your meetings and just listened in ?

I've spent 20 yrs. breaking horses and 15 yrs. shoeing and have been busted up every way possible, but it was a great ride. I started over 1000 colts in that time. I'm to the point now that I need to learn something else. I just don't bounce good anymore. I have the desire and the drive to get this working for me. I never would have thought it if I hadn't read Deans book but I know I can provide a better life and that I need to do it now.

It looks like Al, Craig, Robert, Nick, and probably several others here know what's going on.

I'd like to sit in on your group meetings if no one is opposed to a beginner hanging around. I'd also like to know what the EDGE program is that you're mentioning. I have more time on my hands than is good, I know how to apply myself, and work to me is not a dirty word.

Im very interrested in this thread and the potential formation of a central Az. group. Im new to DG but I see a future in it. Ive been involved in resedential and commercial construction for over 20 years and have a really good grasp on profit potential in these fields. My current job litterally takes me valley wide almost daily so I have a good idea whats going on with conditions and availability of potential deals. In the last 18 months Ive totaled 65,000 miles on my vehicle just in the valley.I dont have any deals going yet ,like I said Im new, but I know I have somthing to offer.Please let me know if somthing is taking off with this group and if I can offer my experiance.
