Nurse

If you will type in the word nurse in that little rectangular box under Deans smiling face at the top left corner of this web page and hit enter...you will find many that are nurses here on the board. Contact them and tell them you would like to form a group for nurses transactioning over to REI. Don't put the word nurses...just nurse.

I was not a nurse but worked in the medical field in ICU and trauma for about 28yrs. As a unit coordinator and tech. Worked for years in a cardiac and trauma ICU and with heart transplants, and what we call...train wrecks. In the trauma hospital we worked 7/70, and of course, you never got out after your 10 1/2 hr shift was done. I used to tell my nurses that they should remember in nursing school the course of......never plan to go home at the end of your shift, that rarely happens! Smiling ...so know the ups and downs, and I miss it, but...too old to keep up that pace anymore.
But will stay in touch with you and maybe we can do a deal together soon.
Sandi

Me too

Great idea cb2011!

18 years-mostly psych, but also a certifed CM. Currently running an occ health clinic at DFAS here in Indy. Ready for a change. Soon as I know whether my house will short sale or forclose (long story-see my Blog) Will have to decide what I want to do. Seriously thinking of travel nursing cross country with my camper!

I'm so travel deprived-I've never been to Florida-ha! Once I became a nurse, I literally worked my life away. Nights, weekends and holidays!
(What school DIDN'T prepare you for-was saying "NO" to every manager who begged you to work yet another shift (and then went straight home to her own family)! Took me about 2-3 years to finally figure out that things just couldn't be THAT bad!

Anyway....I have to admit being a bit intimidated/overwhelmed by a lot of the business lingo here (I've avoided business/finance/ and politics for most of my life-not really sure why!). It's not that I'm not intelligent-or can't learn, but I have to "absorb" it-which sometimes means taking it slowly.

I think with so many levels of opportunity in this business-it's best to determine which one or two techniques best suit me-and stick with those before I move onto anything else (esp. since finances will dictate that pretty much anyway lol!)

I was wondering if you could imagine a position where someone like me, might incorporate a few of Dean's techniques into some sort of travel "scout"?
Something I could do for others while traveling cross country? Maybe verifying properties and/or talking to owners while out in the boonies? Truth is, a lot of this can be done via google maps or even Dean's new Totalview real estate tool and a simple phone call!

But I wish I could incorporate travelling with this business somehow-I just don't know enough about it yet, to conceive it in my mind.

Thanks for posting this thread! Smiling

Melisa

Hi Melisa!

Wow, welcome...U R NEW! I know alot of this does sound a little intimidating but, get real hungry and you'l catch on. I too have so much to learn...the learning process never ends but at least it can be most profitable if you know what stones you want to step on to get you there. i'm just the opposite regarding subjects i've avoided...my first major was political science with a minor in journalism...that eventually changed. If I could do it all over again i would have listened to my micro economic instructor and majored in ecomomics with a minor in financing...would of, should of, could of...oh well, we all obviously have a business streak in us cause we nurses are now here working it to make the big money and help people along the way. I have a vision that i want to eventually include nurses in. I just cant work it now till I get acouple of props flipped. Anyhow, I think our nurturing nature will be very instrumental in propelling us forward to financially independance...if we are not allready there. So, keep giveing, keep growing, keep speaking, have fun and keep looking up cause things will only get better, seriously!! Smiling

oh, travel "scout"?

"might incorporate a few of Dean's techniques into some sort of travel "scout"?
Something I could do for others while traveling cross country? Melisa why not?? Think BIG!! Anything is possible. Creatively, i think it can be done!Smiling

cb2011

Yes, I worked 60-70 hr weeks for a few years, then things went sour for me and I feel off the map. For a couple of years now I have been researching REI, mainly here with this Fantastic DG.com family. We all want to help others. Which allows us to have a better life. I am ready to help out any way I can so I can get back on my feet. Then Pay-it-Forward!

Networking Nurses

Hi, Im Gloria, a caregiver/nurse for a long time. I just saw your post and i am interested in networking also. I live in the Dallas/Ft worth areas. I am almost a senior and widowed. I got Dean's books in around Oct. last year. I have had a little exp. in RE, but am motivated to learn and do more. I need to team up with other motivated people. Could you tell me a litle about you and where you are located, and any experience in RE?
Thanks, and Have A Blessed Day... Gloria

NICU Nurse

Hi, 08/23 0248
My name is Celeste and this is my 4th night. I work from 7p to 7a. I work in the NICU here in Phoenix. Networking sounds like a great idea. I can't talk to anyone about the RBB I just purchased, because my family and these people are so negative.

I am being very positive and I am moving foward slowly. This is going to work for me. I am not going to give up. I am motivated and I am going to master this.

Thank you,
Celeste

Glojean and Celesteial...:)

Hi there ladies! so good to hear your motivation loud and clear. Glojean I'l pm you later today. Yes, lets try to network and be supportive for each other. That's what I hoped this thread would bring. Celest, I'm interested in doing some investing in Az. but not just yet. I will let you know when perhaps we can partner up. Im not too sure about Texas real estate market but im curious to see if there's big potential there too. Talk to you ladies soon.NEVER GIVE UP!! Cb
