Uncle Sam is a reluctant landlord of foreclosed homes

Uncle Sam is a reluctant landlord of foreclosed homes

Just another example of the government being involved with something they should have kept their noses out of and now we pay pay the price...again.

Read the whole story here:

There are very few incidences of the government's well intentioned directions that have ever worked out. Will they ever learn?

Uhhhh...

now they want ideas from us??!! Is this some kind of a joke??!!

ok, let's brainstorm here, and give them some ideas... so that they can tell us that we are not licensed, and what we're proposing is illegal! Eye-wink

Learning and progressing every day,

Uncle Sam

Hi Bill.
Just an insight as I see it. The program worked quite well for a long time. As usual there is more than one side to every situation. Just a point. Without FHA what problems would we have faced and still be lurking about for/from those people who needed a co-signer of this type like from back in the 1960s' until this mess happened.
I'm not for the government being a landlord. But they sure could do something to make it a friendlier arrangement for smaller investors to obtain those properties. Cut their and everyone s loses and get back on track quicker. The red tape and requirements stink!! They made all these programs at what cost?? Like. Buy a house for a $1.00 or $1,000.00 or $10,000.00. Get rid of the crap that goes with it. They want to sell a house, sell the house! Nuisance clauses that keeps them in their possession need to go for now. Okay, prices would drop some more, but for a shorter time frame. RIGHT??

Val & Keith

Your both correct. Stop the crap and turn them loose!! Without more government. They could do it with what they have. Use the HUD Homestore. Fill out the form and submit. If it is gone pick another until you get something you want. Pay for the house, end of story. They don't need miles of information and what you are going to do with it.

Michael

even the HUD Homestore is ridiculous! have you tried buying a home through them? I have, and they are a pain! They set a price on a property and do not accept anything else.

An example: HUD Homestore currently has one property advertised as 'move-in ready'; it is a property I bought and returned because the rehab is more costly than what the house is worth, and it is anything but livable-there is no furnace, no water heater, pipes missing, flooring damamged, huge hole in kitchen ceiling, and the list goes on...

You cannot talk to a person at HUD Homestore, it's all computerized, so you can imagine what you're dealing with!

I'm going to suggest

that they give ALL the homes to me and then I'll fix them up and sell them and give them 1/3 of the profit. Of course, they will have to make my profit tax free and/or supply the funds for rehab at 1% interest. Just an idea!

The govt is going to have to

The govt is going to have to go sooooo investor friendly to get out of this mess......maybe as far as nothing down assumable loans for young first time home buyers!!!

Its not a joke its time to shine.

Sorry for referencing another post but I don't type that well or expeditiously. I've got a an idea that I learned from an Ohioan or Iowan and just posted
on the Operation Free equals Goodwill by shan1158. Ill have to review the rules
to see if this could be construed or if this has any appearance of the
THJ and apologize in advance.
Anyway they are wanting solutions and ideas to best solve these problems, and after reviewing the 60 minutes documentary and follow up stories regarding the levels of downright ungodliness that the banks (that we have to deal with every day) have perpetrated against a large number of the the foreclosure victims, ( and will never see consequence for these actions, unless this opportunity to provide them a solution is utilized) you'll find that the solution that I support is refreshing and and comes from Love ( something we all need to become more in touch with ). If this is not just some type of sweep it under the rug tactic, then we truly may have a history making opportunity that recommends just punishment for these villains that they would otherwise be avoiding with more of the cover up hocus pocus shenanigans that have transpired thus-far [Proven]. ( In order to get really riled watch the 60 minutes special and follow ups, you'll want to be apart of a lynch mob in a loving way.)
The short and the skinny is try and place the foreclosed back in their homes if available, if not homeless families that would desire to live in a home, with criteria that has to be adhered to, in other words evolve and step up to this opportunity that they would be blessed with. There are many things that can be done and from what I've read so far there are many incredible people here all with brilliant ideas providing solutions for whatever ails, so I'm sure that a solution for this problem submitted by TrustPoint could easily be figured out and as Dean has
recently eluded to in his vlog#42,

Here's to the manifestation of thoughts, which inspire the actions that deliver the results.
I know this is not doing a deal but is still a big deal that we need to address.

I just said that they>> COULD<< do it that way using that system because it is computerized. If they dumped the stupidity. Sign up, pay up, computerized processing of the deed. Done. But it is government so they won't. They got to have their nose up your ... and poke around and make everything impossible.
Yes, I tried for one of those $1.00 houses. Gave up. To much B.S. Yaah I saw one like your talking about. The guy striped the place including the windows so he could build another place without so much cost. But for $1.00 and misc. costs so what. I might be able to afford that. I have the skills to rebuild it. It would have given me a start.

Azzending

Hey Azzending,

Who told the banks they had to give loans to people who could not afford them? The banks had standards, the liberal progressive trash in DC started this mess, Bush and the banks jumped on board when it looked all rosie and red. I'd like to see folks going after the GOV and all these liberal handouts to make life fair, which in turn hurts the hard working folks. But thats just me!

I know what you mean... it's all good, and if it worked that would be awesome; I was just venting a bit Eye-wink the one I got was not even close to $1.00... try 10K, and double that for the rehab!
