I guess

This means they want investors to buy now?

Yes,

Sounds like they are really concerned about the blight for poorer neighborhoods.

doesn't surprise me

who else would buy all the foreclosures and fix them up? most homeowners don't want to have to or don't know how to deal with rehabs, which is the state that most of the REOs are in...

FHA Regulations

We are seeing a trend in the housing market that is an advantage to R.E. Investors.I hope that FHA is only the start.

The larger banks that have taken a hold on properties have realized a melting pot of properties on their books. They thought they could hold out but found that this is not going away and it is going to cost them a lot of money if they still plan on holding.

A bank in Tennessee just went out of business because of the same mind set. Only another bank bought them out. Hopefully the new bank is in tune with what FHA is doing and making it easier for investors to get the properties.
