We get a lot of calls and actually close most of them. While I appreciate your comments DL (post#8), we operate on the process that simpler and cleaner is better. When the car is moving, people barely have time to see and remember our phone number (that's why it is an easy number to remember).

However, we are updating the look at the end of summer to be more graphically appealing so that we make our "brand awareness" an important part of the message.

Gary - My dad says you are "the man" in Florida and I am glad that your car signage works too. After reading your post, I am going to think hard about designed special shirts as well.

I've had them on my car since August, brite yellow w lg black lettering. Got a few calls rite away, but nothing in months...all in all, maybe six calls total. Well, half of those were people actually approaching me in parking lots..

Was thinking of trying this out. Great tip on the magnet signs. Maybe they don't work as well as getting painted on the car?

I have a box truck/van and also being a Sign Profesional,( old school Hand lettering/ airbrush artist) I will be lettering and putting my Logo very large on all 4 sides of my truck, BILLBOARD SIZE, now that I have my LLC ! I'll post pics when I'm done. Any members in the north central Florida please PM me if you would like your vehicle done. I have friends in the sign business that I sub vehicle wraps to. I also never noticed anyone else around here w car magnets..thought I'd have an edge. Maybe you'll do better, Kevin. And Duane, a pro-painted truck like that is sure to get noticed, I would think.

As a sign man I can from experience say that you want to keep it simple. The viewers subconscious brain will only absorb and read a maximum of 3 thoughts, that decision is made without the viewer even being aware of it. If a vehicle is moving its only 2 thoughts. A large truck or billboard helps by the fact that the viewer can see it at a longer distance and has more time to read. I can leave my boxvan parked at Walmart and many good spots around town and don't have to worry about bandit signs. Helps to make up for 8 miles per gallon of gas ! Duane

With magnetic signs be careful if your car has been re-painted, and take them off regularly and clean the backs, especially after being rained on. I have always made my magnetic sign customers sign a waiver of my responsibility for damage to their car for not following those guidelines. Duane

Thinking of maybe just doing some simple lettering on the doors, not sure cost vs benefit and I'll have to look around for someone in my area do do it.
