I currently am in the process of finding properties and all that kinda stuff...been talking with a real estate lawyer, talked with an accountant to learn bout taxes, and a real estate agent...Been setting up meetings with all of them to get on the same page and make sure I feel comfortable with everyone, and everything that has been going on...I bought the BARM book in beginning/middle of Dec and read it in 2 days...been doing lots of research on here, and rereading the book...Def trying to keep things moving in the right direction...Of course like anything else, isn't as easy as some people make it out to be, or even as hard for that matter...but I know if you are able to push past everything that may come up, or may have already come up, then you are golden...I have looked at one property, but the agent just sent over bout 12 more properties to check out that have been on the market for I believe over 200 days...I am gonna fax over the listing for the house I checked out already to the lawyer, and have him write up an offer...This will be the first offer, so even if it isn't excepted, at least I will have gotten this part out of the way, and will know and understand the process even more...So everything is heading in the right direction, and of course, can't work quick enough...But that's just cause I am excited for this...But considering only been a month, I think I am doing well, and I have done what some people have a hard time doing...And that is taken action, which makes things happen...Probably the hardest thing to do...And also, I just bought the Think a little Different Course today, so looking forward to getting that...So thanks to all the support on here, and the postings, and the help to get to this point so quickly...Marc

Marc chase down your dreams and don't let anyone stop you. You can have anything you want in life. Just do a little bit every day.
Also, you may not want to have your real estate attorney write up every offer you send out, that might get expensive. I use verbal offers or email offers whenever possible, then if they accept my offer, I will put it into writing.
Get it done!
You've got to find your obstacles and call them out! Unsheath the sword, and do battle with whatever it is that holds you back!
Stay the course and good things will happen. You may takes lumps and bruises along the way like we all have, but that should not deter you. CBR is right about the attorney thing with your offers. It can get very expensive....Jan
thank you for the advice and motivation...So basically you are saying, make an offer on a home first, if excepted, then bring it to the lawyer and let him do the write up of the contract? I really appreciate the input

This is a state by state matter. Typically, you or the agent can write up the contract. the attorney might close the deal if that is how your state does it. (Some states use attorneys. Others use escrow/title companies to close).
Typically, contracts are pretty standard with a lot of boiler plate and fill in the blanks parts. So an attorney is not needed.
cool...good to know that...and i will keep that in mind def...thanks
