Find a Good Title Company or Attorney

Find a Good Title Company or Attorney

I have a lot of respect for title companies. I have found them to be very reliable through the years. They do a great job of getting the papers ready for closing and getting needed research done. The requirements for a title company are very strict in most states. Because of that there are very few errors committed by title companies.

Most title companies will not rush a deal just to make people happy. They know and understand the need to get things right. Remember this the next time someone blames the title company. Remember, they are simply protecting all involved.

I definitely agree here.

I definitely agree here. When was the last time you heard someone complain about a title company? I can't think of anyone. Plus, if they do make a mistake and you have title insurance, no harm no foul, they take care of everything.

I have also found that having their in house attorney handle the legal paperwork turns out to be much cheaper than hiring my own.

Great points!

Roy and Campbellsimon!
Also the most Title companies I have found are great places to locate other members of your power team.
-They know what Realtors do a great job with the clients, have the most successful closings.
-They are familiar with others in the community, able to give some great referrals
The in house legal paperwork, is reason enough in most cases with the savings to go with them.
You can contact them when working out of state to find people to help you in the remote investing area as well.

Assingments

Dose anyone know of any good title company's in the S.F. California bay area that will do assignments?

S.F. title

What I would suggest is asking your realtor for a list of title companies they use, then contact them. The good thing about using the ones you’re referred to by your agent, is you can drop their name as being referred by them. In addition, it may lend some additional credibility, and that’s always a good thing.
