Finding vacant homeowners

Finding vacant homeowners

I am sending postcards to expired listings and pre-foreclosures. I'm getting many back these days that are vacant. While I know this is a good thing, I'm looking for some creative ways to track these people down at no cost. To date, I've found going to the assessors office useless. Thanks for your help.

Vacant Owners

I know you may find this hard to believe. ( I know I did ) But I've had some success with the social networks ( Facebook, twitter, ect. ) You would be surprised how many times I found someone just by putting in their name, or if not the owner, then a sister, cousin, parent, or friend. If you do a google search you might be able to find out where he worked and check with some of his co-workers. Hope this helps.

Wow - never even thought of social networks. Great idea. Thanks

Track these people down at no cost

Find a helpful Realtor (like me) to look them up -- takes a couple minutes at the most. I'd be willing to help anyone who needs information for Lancaster County or Lebanon County in Pennsylvania.

I can't wait for Dean's book to arrive in the mail -- I'm ready to hook up with an investor and get started with an investing adventure.

I having issues with this too

I have three vacant properties that I'm looking into where the tax information says they are still living in them. Two of them have the taxes being paid so I'm going to put a letter in the mailboxes and hope for the best. But I'm not sure where to go with the third. I will have to try the social network thing, that sounds pretty good. Any other suggestions?

Try to talk to the nieghbors in that area, they may know the owners and have thier contact information.

How about a little out of state networking ?

Hello NadineR.
My name is Dino, and I am just get started with Deans investment program. Unfortuantely I do not live anywhere near Lancaster County PA. As I currently reside within the outlying Chicagoland, area.
I have interests in doing investment deals in other states, and could always find it useful to have an aggressive agent like you on my team.
Would you be interested in anyone coming to you for assitance from outside your area ? I have always wanted to know more about the wholesale market, in the state of Pennsylvania.

PropTrend

If you bought the PropTrend software you can put in the address and get lots of useful information. Also a local Title Office and do a search for you at a minimal cost.
