So many people I know have asked me the same question,
"I have so many interests and desires, how do I get them all?"
Even for myself, I sometimes feel overwhelmed by all the possibilities.
Recently, I came across something that helped me with this that I wanted to share it in case any of you are feeling the same way.
Well, that's where the cheetah can give us the answer...
I am sure you have seen in nature documentaries how
cheetahs find food for themselves and their little cubs, and
so survive the harsh conditions in Africa.
Next time you watch a cheetah hunt, pay close attention...
The cheetah comes across a huge herd of gazelles, maybe
hundreds, or thousands...
That's a lot of opportunities... a lot of possibilities for the
Cheetah, isn't it?
But the cheetah is wise to take time to examine the herd
from the distance first, and then pick only one gazelle.
Then she runs full speed after that "one" gazelle.
If you watch the chase in slow motion, you will see that as
the cheetah is chasing that one gazelle, she passes by many
other gazelles on the side and even close to her, but she ignores
all the others... she is focused on her goal, no other opportunity
no matter how tempting can distract her...
The cheetah is wise enough to know that if she lets go of one
gazelle for another, she will be chasing gazelles all day long
to no avail... and her cubs will go hungry.
So when you have many desires, focus on one first. Do the
sessions till your subconscious mind is impressed with that
desire, and start seeing improvements, before moving to the
next one...
Chances are that what you learn about yourself and your
desires along the way will help you immensely in attaining
your other desires....
So focusing on one goal and desire at a time, is what the
cheetah can teach us.
A new way to look at things and hopefully something that can help.

So many choices...
Great Scott Lisa! May I call you Lisa? It’s Saturday morning October 12, 2013 and I been up since 3AM. What the heck is wrong with me? Saturday, these are mornings when you should be sleeping in relaxing… but no. Now I know why after reading your post. SO MANY CHOICES - WHAT DO I DO – OVERWHELM.
Your cheetah story in its simplistic and true nature was and is so right on. Frankly what it comes down to for me is living in the now while disliking every moment quietly. Your post not only answers to possibly questions but poses a question I must now come to terms with…
Am I OVERWHELMED over where I am? Or desire to be? These thoughts are strong and oh so consuming. And at the end of day my cubs (as in dreams and hopes) do go hungry.
“The cheetah is wise enough to know that if she lets go of one
gazelle for another, she will be chasing gazelles all day long
to no avail... and her cubs will go hungry.”
All day long to no avail…
“So when you have many desires, focus on one first. Do the
sessions till your subconscious mind is impressed with that
desire, and start seeing improvements, before moving to the
next one...”
Focus on one…

“So focusing on one goal and desire at a time, is what the

Today is a good day to do just that. Thank you so much.
Feeling slammed
I am age 50, working partime at night to do realestate in the daytime, trying to take care of my aging weak mom, almost in a divorce, living in Tampa Florida trying to find my first deal. My credit is bad, my income is low However; I have 30,000 to start investing. I am looking for 3 houses with owner financing to purchase now with room for me to make money. I have been told "you can't do that. There is too many investors doing the same thing. Don't waste your time" I have been slammed by other realtors, a CPA, a few bankers, my friends, my mom along with other family members including my own husband! Dear lord! How much put down can I handle? I get up everyday and keep trying. Does anyone out there have any advice to find my first money making deal?
Hi BigDynaH
I am glad the post was of some help. It's funny, I have heard many people express things in many different ways and usually in each telling even if the moral is the same I almost always find another glimpse to something more or something deeper.
That's why I like to share these types of things -sometimes they resonate where other words haven't or sometimes they can give another snapshot or another perspective.
I wish you well in all of your endeavors! Recently for myself, I have had to put the blinders on and simply stop thinking of the 10,000' view and just focus on one thing at a time. Otherwise I'd be spinning my wheels or chasing gazelles all day long with nothing to show for it at the end of the day except extreme fatigue and a feeling of dissatisfaction.
