Year end doctors appointments post-stroke, updating and refinancing our existing home, Christmas, my son’s birthday (Jan 11) have taken their toll of our expendable time.

We are making a renewed commitment to go forward! There are three properties just in a two block stretch of our street: one is abandoned so the owner must be located, one is trashed by the divorcing former tenants, and the last is in a government program called Home Steps. And we live in a pretty stable neighborhood! Does that say anything about our economy? That’s why we drive neighborhoods hoping to find FSBO’s or other in pre-pre-foreclosure to help folks before foreclosure and help ourselves too.

Nervous this morning! I joined the local business "Brealfast club Meeting". So after signing up for the HiREI club I am joining a standard "business" club (networking) on the suggestion of one of my customers that I do handyman work for. "Peter", He's a retired CPA and I work on his place as well as some of is "rentals".(Many nice apt's around town)So,taking the advice of "other's" who are successful in their lives, I am just kind of "jumping into the fire" and going for it. Sort of like how I am doing with Dean. Anyway,nervous because I get one minute to go up and introduce myself/what I do. Someone wrote me earlier that that is what they did in frot of 10-20-30-100, a thousnand people so I will perservere and just go for it!

Hello, I am a single mom living in Southern California. Im living paycheck to paycheck. I have little to no savings and my back is completely up against a wall financially. I want so much more for my kids. I want them to have a better life and to have things that I didn't have as a child. I was completely inspired by Dean's first book. I read the whole thing in less than a day! I have never felt so capable to do anything as I do now. I am determined to achieve my goals for myself and my children. I just need some guidance. Is there anyone out there available and willing to mentor me?

I guess I am learning about how this post/blog/journaling stuff works. I am figuring out that I am actually "commenting" on my own blog instead of starting a new entry so ok, no sweat. From now on I just start a new blog instead of commneting on my own blog. I actually thought that that is how you continue the blog entry!? Ha ha, funny! Think thats what I am doing on the journaling post too! Yikes! Ok, so we will try a different technique now. Hope I am getting closer. I have some really heavy stuff that I need to share so when I get back I'll put it up. Thanks for your patience!

Anyone know of any "new" tactics/strategies for building a buyers list, for both investment and tenant buyers?
