Complete Beginner

July, 27 2011

I had never considered real estate as a source of income. My father in law, used real estate as a career, as had a couple of friends - but it always seemed like a mysterious jumble of interest rates and math wizardry.

I had pursued an education in the healthcare field and became a Podiatrist - a very unhappy one and a a financially unsuccessful one to boot!

On July 14, I was invited by some friends to attend a Dean Graziosi introductory seminar at a local hotel conference room. I was very skeptical, having heard the "Naysayer" stories about people losing their shirts trying to do the "Real Estate Thing". But after some discussion with the friends that invited me and with the presenters, I decided to give this concept a further look.

Friends

I would like to see if anyone on this site would like to start talking be friends and try and help me get some deals done. I'm close but in my mind its probably confidence Dean is a great motivational speeker but i would like to have some friends that are working for the same goal that i am. I know Dean has the same goal but i cant afford his mentoring program. I've had the program for over a year looked at tons of houses but it always seems like money gets in the way. i'm not broke but most weeks its paycheck to paycheck. I just need someone to talk to and may be give me a different direction. This all makes sense to me and i do verry good explaining it to my girlfriend but I can not find the right deal. May be i'm not going about it the right way, may be im looking in the wrong spot.

House Flippers in LA, CA

Are there any house flippers in LA willing to make a sale? Many here are buying up most of the distressed properties and not reselling. If there are any in Los Angeles willing to sell a property private message me, I am trying to buy in 200-300k range.

Or if anyone would like to mentor please let me know. Open to try and least a couple assignments. I am trying not to get discouraged.

Reply to the Home Give Away

Dean u r Mean!(really good)The number that could change my life is $20,000. But if you really are reading every one of these emails-I would like to ask you to do something-How impossible would it be for YOU to come to my Home and literally walk me through a deal-from start to finish with your greatest techniques. My husband is confined to a wheelchair as a result of a motor vehicle accident and never used his own social security # prior to that when he worked therefore he never could get DSSI. I have had to go out and find work despite my own disabilities. We went for your 3 day training, yet we just couldn't put it all together. We didn't receive the kind of help that I was expecting.

Letting seller know your intentions

1st. After finding property and contacting seller to gather information about property.

2nd Doing analysis on property

My question; When is the time to talk about your intentions?

Could someone give me some advice. I have posted on my blog a couple of other questions but have not received any response.

Week Two

So far this week I have been calling real estate agents and putting ads on Craigslist.
I finally got a call back on one of my ads, and I plan to call the lady tomorrow and see what she wants.
I am one third the way through YTYP, I would be much further but I have had a super busy week. I am reading as much as I can, but I'm not rushing it either because I want to take as much in as possible.
