Hi to all my AL DG family. My broker told me yesterday that there is a law going thru the AL legislature to shorten the R of R period from 12 months to 3 months. Anyone have an update on this?
No i have not heard of that But I will check on that come Monday morning!I wish they would because a lot can happen to a property being abandoned for three yrs! Before you can do anything to it!Steve are you in Alabama? They have limited the amount of money investors can bid on a property!Somewhere around 5% over the property assessed amount!
I have a family member that build a house in 2004. She brought the house for 153,000. The house forclosed in 5/08. It resold in 8/5/2008 for the amount of 275,145. This an bank forclosure. Is the overage owed to the her? What is the process to collect the overage if so?
Yes she is "Suppose" to be owed the money! I would get a lawyer and go get that money because it pays for the previous loan and everything after that goes to the owner! In this case your family member! They are not gonna just give it to you!
I figured you would know of anyone did. I havent heard anything since my broker mentioned it, and yes I am in Vestavia, AL. We need to get this group up and moving, and I wish a I could take advantage of tax sales but first of all it takes a little cash. Anyway Darrell, thanks for commenting and I look forward to meeting you. Do you ever see Jen? Sounds like that lady is on the move.
